Phil Wickham’s ‘I Believe’ Out Now

Two-time GRAMMY® nominee Phil Wickham’s highly anticipated new studio album, I BELIEVE, is available today, marking the respected worship leader’s tenth LP in a career filled with songs that have been sung in churches around the globe and streamed billions of times across multiple platforms.

I BELIEVE follows his recent radio hit and 2023 Dove-Award nominated song  “This Is Our God,” which has become one of the biggest songs of Wickham’s career to date.  After taking the track to No. 1 on the Mediabase Christian Audience, Mediabase Christian AC, and Billboard Christian AC charts, Wickham recently released the title track “I Believe” to radio – which is already airing on Air 1 and officially going for ads on September 8.

“There are so many searching for truth, meaning, belonging, purpose, hope, fulfillment, peace, and healing,” Wickham passionately states about his inspiration for I BELIEVE.  “I have found all of these things and more in the person of Jesus Christ. I think the world is desperate to see and hear people full of hope, joy, love, and confidence telling their stories about how Jesus saved and changed their lives; About how He is the best thing they have ever found, and He will be the best thing anyone will ever find.

I’ve never put more time, effort, and prayer into a project, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it!”

Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Release ‘Live In Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration’

Commemorating two decades of music and ministry, multi-GRAMMY nominated Gospel leaders Ernie Haase & Signature Sound release Live in Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration today (August 11). Produced by 39-time Dove Award-winner Wayne Haun and released by StowTown Records—the genre-leading label co-founded by Haase and Haun—the project was recorded before a capacity crowd at Rafaël Evangelism Center in Amsterdam earlier this year.

“Overture,” a stirring instrumental medley of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound classics, sets the stage for a milestone recording featuring 10 fan favorites spanning the group’s iconic career. “They’ve had more hits over the last 20 years than we could possibly include on one project, so the overture enabled us to add portions of a few more #1 singles like ‘I Thirst,’

‘That’s Why,’ and ‘The Old Landmark,’” shares Haun, who arranged and orchestrated the piece. “When the overture started in Amsterdam, I was amazed at how the audience began singing along. It’s completely humbling to realize the global impact these songs have had.”

From “Oh, What A Savior,” which Haase has performed for more than 30 years with both Signature Sound and the Cathedral Quartet; to “Get Away Jordan,” Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s breakthrough hit, Live in Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration also features new arrangements of such group standards as “Reason Enough,” “I Know My Savior Cares,” and the July 21 digital single “Until We Fly Away,” among others.

“Our most memorable moments are always meeting with people after shows and hearing how the songs have helped them in their faith journey,” Haase shares. “‘Jesus Changed Everything’ and ‘Sometimes I Wonder’ were songs that God greatly used the night we recorded in Amsterdam. While showing us her ‘Jesus Changed Everything’ tattoo, a lady said to us in broken English,

‘This song saved me from a life of deep depression.’ Another family shared that their young daughter was recently struck and killed by a car in her neighborhood. They told us how the song ‘Sometimes I Wonder’ is giving them faith and hope, and they’re even asking God for the opportunity to witness to the driver.”

“All of these songs have been very, very impactful to the ministry of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, so we hope our listeners will love the new arrangements of songs they’ve welcomed into their lives through the years,” he adds. “We also hope young listeners will hear a work of ‘heart’ and art that encourages them to pursue their dreams as we did when we embarked on this journey 20 years ago.

Most of all, we want people to listen to these songs and the stories behind them and be inspired to share their redemption story with others. In the end, we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). This recording is our testimony of God’s amazing grace in and through Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.”

Anna Golden Releases ‘Church’

Today (8.11), rising artist and powerhouse vocalist Anna Golden releases her new album ‘Church’ via TeeLee Records / Capitol CMG. Across ten tracks that range from anthemic to introspective, Golden invites listeners to walk with her as she details her journey from pain to triumph with the help of therapy and faith.

“I remember reading a quote that said, ‘When you’re healed you remember things differently,’” says Golden. “Through the Holy Spirit, healthy community, and pastors who just love Jesus, I saw this start to take place in my own heart. I have always loved God’s house since I was a little girl, but there were moments over working in full time ministry for 10 years that can break your heart.

For this record, the Lord took me all the way back to the beginning with the church I grew up in, remembering how that was the first place I ever saw Christ personified through imperfect people, trying to look like Jesus. I remembered where I fell in love with God’s house, and why.”

‘Church’ was entirely co-written and co-produced by Golden with help from some of the genre’s top songwriters including Jessie Early (Blessing Offor, Chris Tomlin), Bernie Herms (Danny Gokey, Anne Wilson), Rita Springer (Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Bethel Music) and others. Recorded live at her home church Shoreline City in Dallas, Golden blends elements of pop, rock, gospel and contemporary music to create arena-worthy songs that bring a message of spirituality to a new generation.

The album opens with the booming “At The Altar,” an invitation for listeners to open their hearts to the central themes of the album — finding community, forgiveness, letting go of fear and anxiety, wrestling with perfectionism and more.

“Glory To Glory” and “The Word” are reminders that there is light at the end of the tunnel in the midst of pain, while “I Love It Here” and “Because Of You” reflect the feeling of rediscovering life’s beauty and purpose after healing from hurt.

At the heart of the album is “Manasseh,” which means “to forget the pain of my father’s household.” The song tells Golden’s personal story of pain caused by leaders of her former church and the relief she found through therapy and eventually finding a new faith community. It speaks to the power of community to rebuild humans from trauma.

Golden grew up in St. Louis, MO where her parents were worship leaders and songwriters. As a kid, she spent time between St. Louis and Burbank, and she seemed destined to join her older siblings with a career in show business. However, she felt pulled towards a more meaningful calling, and she decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and become a full-time worship leader at age 17.

After painful experiences in unhealthy ministry, she found a healthy intersection of faith and therapy, despite a stigma around the former within her community, and she found herself able to begin leading worship again. Golden’s career took off after being connected with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, eventually becoming the debut signing on the GRAMMY-winner’s label TeeLee Records.

The EP kicks off with an amazing song of reverence and love for God in “You Remain the Same” WOTIM HO DAA

WOTIM HO DAA: Translated as “You Remain The Same”, eulogizes the greatness of God in one major phrase, His ability to remain the same hence His never changing nature from generation to generation, A beautiful contemporary worship piece.

This song is an experience that will leave you saturated in the awareness of the Unshakable, Immovable, and Unchangeable Mightiness of God. My prayer is that this song will bring you a Godly encounter and an inner chamber worship experience. Queendalyn added

It moves on next to “HONHOM KRONKRON (Holy Ghost) Featuring Diana Hopeson, Abaawa Connie

HONHOM KRONKRON (Holy Ghost): “Holy Spirit ” emphasizes the greatness of God and the gift of the holy spirit as our helper.

I have been a rounded beneficiary of the great assistance and empowerment the Holy Spirit gives to us, this song depicts the need to depend on the Holy Spirit in all spheres. Diana Hopeson and Abaawa Connie, who have walked longer in this call, were the perfect people to bring their experience lyrically and depth to interpreting this song into reality. There are three generations of Musi,c and I am super privileged to have done this with them, She shares.

Depicting a journey with God is track three, titled “Hold My Hands”.

“Hold My Hands”: In this song, Queendalyn shares her testimony! Through it all God has never left my side, He has held my hands through the storm, the fires, and the turbulence. Hold my hands was inspired by Deuteronomy 31:8. A song many can relate to.

Hold my hands brings back the lovable Queendalyn’s sound and vocals, and so does the fourth track, “IZURU (You deserve the praise) FT Mike Aremu”.

IZURU (You deserve the praise): Featuring world-renowned Gospel Saxophone Minister Mike Aremu. Izuru Is a Soul ballad that means “you are worthy. The inspiration is born from spotlighting the majestic nature of God and Declaring him worthy of every praise.

The Birth Ep rounds up with “Come and See”, a praise upbeat anthem.

Come and See: Tapping into the Amapiano wave creating a fine blend with Afro Gospel and Praise-worship music while inspiring and entertaining believers, Come and See is an Amapiano song of testimony and praise featuring Akesse Brempong.

The song draws its inspiration from the powerful Bible verse Psalm 66: 4-5, which reminds listeners of God’s good deeds to mankind. “All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.” Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!”

A great vibe on this track is Akesse Brempong, who is known for his unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music. I felt he would be the right person to compliment my vocal tone and deliver. Queendalyn added.

Overall, the BIRTH EP is an intentional music offering with a unified theme that seeks to uplift and stirs you to praise and worship.

Natalie Grant Debuts Duet With Dolly Parton “Step By Step”

Today, nine-time GRAMMY Award nominee and Curb | Word Entertainment artist Natalie Grant has released a reimagined duet of “Step By Step” with Dolly Parton from her forthcoming album, Seasons.

The iconic song made popular by Whitney Houston, appeared on the soundtrack for The Preacher’s Wife and was dubbed one of Houston’s best songs. This marks the first time Grant and Parton have recorded together, having shared the stage earlier this year at Dollywood.

“In 1996, ‘Step By Step’ is a song I would blast on cassette in my beat up Volkswagen Golf as I drove to my job at Medicare,” shares Grant. “The dream when I moved to Nashville was music, not Medicare, but I had to do what was necessary to keep going.

This song was my reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you would’ve told me then that one day, I would not only be recording this song, but doing it with an International icon, I never ever would’ve believed it. I still can’t believe it.”

stepbystep

The release of “Step By Step” follows the much-anticipated announcement of Grant’s new album, Seasons, which will be available on October 6th and is now available for pre-order. The 10-track album features Grant’s own twist on songs that have made a lasting impression on both her life as well as her illustrious career.

To create Seasons, Grant invited some of the top artists in their genres to join her including Mary Mary with their first re-recorded version of the smash hit “Shackles (Praise You),” Tasha Cobbs Leonard on Paul Simon’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and her mother and daughters on Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”

The first single from Seasons, “You Will Be Found” with Cory Asbury, has resonated with audiences around the globe with over 20 million global on-demand streams and is currently #3 on Mediabase Audience Chart, matching Grant’s highest charting Billboard Airplay career single, “King of the World.”

This Sunday, August 6th Grant will perform on the 54th Annual Stellar Awards on BET honoring Cece Winans. The touching moment further solidified Grant’s relationship with Winans, who also appears on Seasons performing “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).” The Stellar Awards air on BET Network at 8:00 PM EST.
