The Birth EP also features some top music leaders like Akesse Brempong, Mike Aremu, Abaawa Connie, and Diana Hopeson. Queendalyn is excited to share the heart and sound of The Birth Ep with listeners worldwide.

The EP kicks off with an amazing song of reverence and love for God in “You Remain the Same” WOTIM HO DAA

WOTIM HO DAA: Translated as “You Remain The Same”, eulogizes the greatness of God in one major phrase, His ability to remain the same hence His never changing nature from generation to generation, A beautiful contemporary worship piece.

This song is an experience that will leave you saturated in the awareness of the Unshakable, Immovable, and Unchangeable Mightiness of God. My prayer is that this song will bring you a Godly encounter and an inner chamber worship experience. Queendalyn added

It moves on next to “HONHOM KRONKRON (Holy Ghost) Featuring Diana Hopeson, Abaawa Connie

HONHOM KRONKRON (Holy Ghost): “Holy Spirit ” emphasizes the greatness of God and the gift of the holy spirit as our helper.

I have been a rounded beneficiary of the great assistance and empowerment the Holy Spirit gives to us, this song depicts the need to depend on the Holy Spirit in all spheres. Diana Hopeson and Abaawa Connie, who have walked longer in this call, were the perfect people to bring their experience lyrically and depth to interpreting this song into reality. There are three generations of Musi,c and I am super privileged to have done this with them, She shares.

Depicting a journey with God is track three, titled “Hold My Hands”.

“Hold My Hands”: In this song, Queendalyn shares her testimony! Through it all God has never left my side, He has held my hands through the storm, the fires, and the turbulence. Hold my hands was inspired by Deuteronomy 31:8. A song many can relate to.

Hold my hands brings back the lovable Queendalyn’s sound and vocals, and so does the fourth track, “IZURU (You deserve the praise) FT Mike Aremu”.

IZURU (You deserve the praise): Featuring world-renowned Gospel Saxophone Minister Mike Aremu. Izuru Is a Soul ballad that means “you are worthy. The inspiration is born from spotlighting the majestic nature of God and Declaring him worthy of every praise.

The Birth Ep rounds up with “Come and See”, a praise upbeat anthem.

Come and See: Tapping into the Amapiano wave creating a fine blend with Afro Gospel and Praise-worship music while inspiring and entertaining believers, Come and See is an Amapiano song of testimony and praise featuring Akesse Brempong.

The song draws its inspiration from the powerful Bible verse Psalm 66: 4-5, which reminds listeners of God’s good deeds to mankind. “All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.” Come and see what God has done, his awesome deeds for mankind!”

A great vibe on this track is Akesse Brempong, who is known for his unique blend of traditional and contemporary styles of music. I felt he would be the right person to compliment my vocal tone and deliver. Queendalyn added.

Overall, the BIRTH EP is an intentional music offering with a unified theme that seeks to uplift and stirs you to praise and worship.

Natalie Grant Debuts Duet With Dolly Parton “Step By Step”

Today, nine-time GRAMMY Award nominee and Curb | Word Entertainment artist Natalie Grant has released a reimagined duet of “Step By Step” with Dolly Parton from her forthcoming album, Seasons.

The iconic song made popular by Whitney Houston, appeared on the soundtrack for The Preacher’s Wife and was dubbed one of Houston’s best songs. This marks the first time Grant and Parton have recorded together, having shared the stage earlier this year at Dollywood.

“In 1996, ‘Step By Step’ is a song I would blast on cassette in my beat up Volkswagen Golf as I drove to my job at Medicare,” shares Grant. “The dream when I moved to Nashville was music, not Medicare, but I had to do what was necessary to keep going.

This song was my reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you would’ve told me then that one day, I would not only be recording this song, but doing it with an International icon, I never ever would’ve believed it. I still can’t believe it.”

The release of “Step By Step” follows the much-anticipated announcement of Grant’s new album, Seasons, which will be available on October 6th and is now available for pre-order. The 10-track album features Grant’s own twist on songs that have made a lasting impression on both her life as well as her illustrious career.

To create Seasons, Grant invited some of the top artists in their genres to join her including Mary Mary with their first re-recorded version of the smash hit “Shackles (Praise You),” Tasha Cobbs Leonard on Paul Simon’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and her mother and daughters on Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”

The first single from Seasons, “You Will Be Found” with Cory Asbury, has resonated with audiences around the globe with over 20 million global on-demand streams and is currently #3 on Mediabase Audience Chart, matching Grant’s highest charting Billboard Airplay career single, “King of the World.”

This Sunday, August 6th Grant will perform on the 54th Annual Stellar Awards on BET honoring Cece Winans. The touching moment further solidified Grant’s relationship with Winans, who also appears on Seasons performing “My Tribute (To God Be The Glory).” The Stellar Awards air on BET Network at 8:00 PM EST.

Tracklist

1. Father – this song talks about how good God as our father is – how incomparable he is with other fathers – our God is better than ten thousands of men put together. Consistently mindful of us, never tired of our consistent calls and prayers. We have a good father!!! It is inspired by the love of the father.

2. Na your hand – think of a firm hand holding you, never letting go, never losing grip. That’s the hand of our father. Able to keep you from falling, solid as a rock. We will never fall because the hand holding us is strong.

3. Kelerem chimo – it is a song in Igbo language in Nigeria and simply means “praise my God”. Our God goes what is good, shows us mercy, everybody come let us praise my God who has done me well.

4. Obaruba – it is a song done in Igbo language, Nigeria. Obaruba means abundant – sufficient. It talks about the grace of God been sufficient in our lives, his love overwhelming and inexhaustible. Where would we go and not find God? Where would we hide that he won’t come for us? His love is sufficient.

5. Bless the Lord – All through scriptures we find the psalmist and apostle Paul asking us to bless God. He loads us with benefits, he gives us victory, and he has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. These and much more has our father done and our Saul will bless him. He is good and his mercies endure forever – Bless the lord oh my soul!

6. What do I have – this song is inspired by 1 Corinthians 4: 7

For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

Everything we have received comes from God – even salvation. We dare not boast as though it was our works. Our God is truly good and has given us every good and perfect gift.

7. Onye Nwere Jesus – This song is about the immeasurable riches we have in Christ. He who has Jesus has everything- salvation, joy and peace, the hope of eternal life, and everything good and perfect. It is done in a Nigerian language, Igbo.

8. With me – This song is about the assurance that our God never leaves. He said he will never leave or forsake us and we are assured that our God is with us. God is with me!!!

9. Never seen – this is a fast tempo song talking about Gods faithfulness. I have never seen him fail or disappoint. I have seen him fulfil every promise. Never has it been seen that the righteous is forsaken!

10. By yourself – This song is about ascribing all worth, praise and credit to God who has done all that was done on Calvary for us by himself. Who dares take credit for what our father has done? Surely nobody, he has done it by himself.

11. Ijuru Eligwe j’uwa – this is an old song from my childhood that has stuck in my memory. It translates… Search the heavens and the earth.. is there anyone like my Father? No, not one. It is done in Igbo language.

Natalie Layne Drops Centricity Music Debut EP

Soul-inspired pop singer/songwriter, pianist, worship leader and producer Natalie Layne releases her six-song Centricity Music debut EP, Amen. Joy is the common thread woven throughout her introductory recording that speaks to the power of finding the good in moments that don’t necessarily feel good.

Inspired by the simple kindness of a neighbor waving and smiling as they passed in her neighborhood, Layne co-wrote the lead, title track with hit-making songwriters Benji Cowart and David Spencer. “Amen,” as well as the whole album’s sonic direction, is meant to be as welcoming as a friend and as cohesive as that of a seasoned artist, with the messages behind the music stemming from her personal experience.

After growing up in the church, during her teen years, Layne recognized she had to make her faith her own, determining what she believed apart from her parents. This became even more crucial when she began leading worship under the mentorship of respected worship pastors such as Cory Asbury, Jon Egan and Jared Anderson.

She penned the half dozen songs that comprise Amen for that teenage girl in the thick of unraveling her own convictions.

“I want to talk about the power of staying. Sometimes finding the Lord for yourself and choosing to stay can be harder than leaving, but life with Jesus really is better. It’s not perfect, but it’s way better,” Layne shares. “

I want to write songs for the lifelong church kids, but at the same time, I want people who have left or who are far off to hear these songs and be called back home. No matter which end of the spectrum people find themselves on, I want to give them permission to feel like their story matters.”

It’s also Layne’s desire that everyone’s story be marked by the same kind of joy she’s experienced through choosing to follow Jesus. And that’s the overarching banner that consistently encircles her art.

Along with the title track, Amen features Layne’s viral TikTok track “Grateful For” that was written with award-winning songwriters Mitch Wong and Jimmy James. It also includes the live-recorded closing track “Arms of God,” which is the first song she’s ever released that she’s produced solely by herself. This intimate selection is built on piano and filled out with lush strings that allows her impeccable, friendly vocal to shine.

“I’ve just always wanted to make music that brings people joy. I think we need joyful songs to get us through the day sometimes, and God’s given me a lot of permission to go for the happy songs,” Layne says. “If these songs could bring people joy, even in little ways, that would be a win.”
