[Album] Blessed Are They – Brylie Jaye Parker

Independent artist Brylie Jaye Parker is excited to unveil her latest single, “Blessed Are They,” available today on Christian AC and Christian Country radio formats. This soulful track precedes her much-anticipated album, “If They Weren’t Yours,” set for release at the end of August.

Penned by Brylie Jaye Parker herself and masterfully produced by Scott Hoffmann, “Blessed Are They” is a testament to faith, divine blessings, and the ever-present grace of God. Through poignant lyrics, the song seeks to comfort the wounded and assure them of God’s unwavering gaze and understanding.

Brylie’s path in music is a heartfelt narrative. Growing up in a quaint Arkansas town, she was introduced to church hymns from a young age. At just four years old, she inherited a set of guitars from her grandfather, marking the start of a lifelong relationship with music. Throughout her adolescent years and into college, Brylie turned to the guitar for solace, using her talent for singing and songwriting as a means to converse with God.

A defining moment in her musical journey arrived in 2021, when she wrote and performed a song to commemorate her grandfather’s life and legacy. This heartfelt performance caught the attention of a music producer, paving the way for Brylie’s burgeoning music career. Now, alongside her EP “Freedom,” available on all streaming platforms,

She has released two singles, “If They Weren’t Yours” and “I Will Remember.” Her debut album is eagerly awaited by fans and the Christian music community alike.

Cory Asbury Debuts “Misunderstood” From Highly-Anticipated Album ‘Pioneer’

Today, multi-platinum-selling, GRAMMY Award Nominee, Cory Asbury has released a new song from his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, Pioneer. The song, “Misunderstood,” incorporates moving steel guitar and piano, backing lyrics that speak to seasons of anxiety and depression and the outside pressures to be perfect through it all.

This is the third song released from Pioneer, following “Kind” and “These Are the Days” which have both produced millions of streams in the few weeks they have been available.

“A few years back, my wife went through an intense time of anxiety and postpartum depression,” shares Asbury. “She wanted so badly to be “normal” in the middle of it all. I kept having to remind her, “It’s ok to not be ok.” We’re all broken.

Being perfect isn’t the point of this whole “being human” experiment. I hope sharing this experience helps others not feel so alone in their journey to contentment.”

Her current, third radio single from her 2023 GMA Dove Award-nominated Jesus Changed My Life debut album, “Hold On,” tops the MediaBase Christian AC Activator Chart this week. I want my music to speak truth and shine a light for those going through dark times.”

Her four nods comprise New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“In Jesus Name (God of Possible)”), Pop / Contemporary Album of the Year (Jesus Changed My Life) and Pop / Contemporary Recorded Song (“God Is In This Story,” a duet with Big Daddy Weave). Ernie Haase & Signature Sound Release ‘Live In Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration’

Commemorating two decades of music and ministry, multi-GRAMMY nominated Gospel leaders Ernie Haase & Signature Sound release Live in Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration today (August 11). Produced by 39-time Dove Award-winner Wayne Haun and released by StowTown Records—the genre-leading label co-founded by Haase and Haun—the project was recorded before a capacity crowd at Rafaël Evangelism Center in Amsterdam earlier this year.

“Overture,” a stirring instrumental medley of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound classics, sets the stage for a milestone recording featuring 10 fan favorites spanning the group’s iconic career. “They’ve had more hits over the last 20 years than we could possibly include on one project, so the overture enabled us to add portions of a few more #1 singles like ‘I Thirst,’

‘That’s Why,’ and ‘The Old Landmark,’” shares Haun, who arranged and orchestrated the piece. “When the overture started in Amsterdam, I was amazed at how the audience began singing along. It’s completely humbling to realize the global impact these songs have had.”

From “Oh, What A Savior,” which Haase has performed for more than 30 years with both Signature Sound and the Cathedral Quartet; to “Get Away Jordan,” Ernie Haase & Signature Sound’s breakthrough hit, Live in Amsterdam: A 20th Anniversary Celebration also features new arrangements of such group standards as “Reason Enough,” “I Know My Savior Cares,” and the July 21 digital single “Until We Fly Away,” among others.

“Our most memorable moments are always meeting with people after shows and hearing how the songs have helped them in their faith journey,” Haase shares. “‘Jesus Changed Everything’ and ‘Sometimes I Wonder’ were songs that God greatly used the night we recorded in Amsterdam. While showing us her ‘Jesus Changed Everything’ tattoo, a lady said to us in broken English,

‘This song saved me from a life of deep depression.’ Another family shared that their young daughter was recently struck and killed by a car in her neighborhood. They told us how the song ‘Sometimes I Wonder’ is giving them faith and hope, and they’re even asking God for the opportunity to witness to the driver.”

“All of these songs have been very, very impactful to the ministry of Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, so we hope our listeners will love the new arrangements of songs they’ve welcomed into their lives through the years,” he adds. “We also hope young listeners will hear a work of ‘heart’ and art that encourages them to pursue their dreams as we did when we embarked on this journey 20 years ago.

Most of all, we want people to listen to these songs and the stories behind them and be inspired to share their redemption story with others. In the end, we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11). This recording is our testimony of God’s amazing grace in and through Ernie Haase & Signature Sound.”

Anna Golden Releases ‘Church’

Today (8.11), rising artist and powerhouse vocalist Anna Golden releases her new album ‘Church’ via TeeLee Records / Capitol CMG. Across ten tracks that range from anthemic to introspective, Golden invites listeners to walk with her as she details her journey from pain to triumph with the help of therapy and faith.

“I remember reading a quote that said, ‘When you’re healed you remember things differently,’” says Golden. “Through the Holy Spirit, healthy community, and pastors who just love Jesus, I saw this start to take place in my own heart. I have always loved God’s house since I was a little girl, but there were moments over working in full time ministry for 10 years that can break your heart.

For this record, the Lord took me all the way back to the beginning with the church I grew up in, remembering how that was the first place I ever saw Christ personified through imperfect people, trying to look like Jesus. I remembered where I fell in love with God’s house, and why.”

‘Church’ was entirely co-written and co-produced by Golden with help from some of the genre’s top songwriters including Jessie Early (Blessing Offor, Chris Tomlin), Bernie Herms (Danny Gokey, Anne Wilson), Rita Springer (Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Bethel Music) and others. Recorded live at her home church Shoreline City in Dallas, Golden blends elements of pop, rock, gospel and contemporary music to create arena-worthy songs that bring a message of spirituality to a new generation.

The album opens with the booming “At The Altar,” an invitation for listeners to open their hearts to the central themes of the album — finding community, forgiveness, letting go of fear and anxiety, wrestling with perfectionism and more.

“Glory To Glory” and “The Word” are reminders that there is light at the end of the tunnel in the midst of pain, while “I Love It Here” and “Because Of You” reflect the feeling of rediscovering life’s beauty and purpose after healing from hurt.

At the heart of the album is “Manasseh,” which means “to forget the pain of my father’s household.” The song tells Golden’s personal story of pain caused by leaders of her former church and the relief she found through therapy and eventually finding a new faith community. It speaks to the power of community to rebuild humans from trauma.

Golden grew up in St. Louis, MO where her parents were worship leaders and songwriters. As a kid, she spent time between St. Louis and Burbank, and she seemed destined to join her older siblings with a career in show business. However, she felt pulled towards a more meaningful calling, and she decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and become a full-time worship leader at age 17.

After painful experiences in unhealthy ministry, she found a healthy intersection of faith and therapy, despite a stigma around the former within her community, and she found herself able to begin leading worship again. Golden’s career took off after being connected with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, eventually becoming the debut signing on the GRAMMY-winner’s label TeeLee Records.
