Nashville-based, Oregon-born multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer Mat Kearney is excited to announce the May 17th release of his new self-titled studio album via Middle Kid Records.

The new LP is Kearney’s first in more than three years and was produced by Kearney with help from Micah Tawkls (Hayley Williams, Liza Anne, COIN) and Marc Scibilia (Breland, Robin Schultz, Teddy Swims). Along with the album news today Kearney is announcing a massive US headline tour and releasing the captivating and buoyant new single “Palisades”

Produced by Kearney and Tawkls and featuring The Brook and the Bluff as his backing band, Kearney had this to share about the song, “Someone once told me as a young musician ‘enjoy it now cause you can only start a journey once.’ I look back at some pinnacle moments and realize they were lost on me at the time.

That feeling of leaving home and being in the middle of a highlight reel, is what ‘Palisades’ sounds like to me where the journey is the destination.”

“Palisades” is the third single to be released ahead of his self-titled new studio album, following “Headlights Home” – which was released in January accompanied by an official music video Written and recorded over the past couple of years with the help of some talented friends, Kearney counts this new album as one of his most personal releases and sees it as a reflection of his two-decade long career.

It’s time I let you in on the secret of what I’ve been working on for the last 2 years. My self-titled ‘Mat Kearney’ record is coming out May 17th. I got a text from my long-time band member Phil Moore saying, ‘this record feels the most like the guy I’ve been hanging out with for the last 10 years.’ I think that sums it up.

I wanted to make something honest, warm, raw, that felt like a big hug, the soundtrack for a drive into mountains, and beach hang with friends. I spread my wings and took on more of the production. Some songs I did start to finish alone. I also collaborated in ways I haven’t before. My favorite Nashville band The Brook and The Bluff played on a handful of songs. It was the first time I felt like I was in a band.

I tried to keep it simple. Real instruments and honest performances, like how I started out. I keep playing this record in my car which isn’t normal for me once I complete a project. I hope that’s a good sign and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Today sixstepsrecords / Capitol CMG’s Passion releases the brand new live album, Call on Heaven. This album was captured at Passion 2024 and features 14 live recordings including artists Cody Carnes, Brooke Ligertwood, Crowder, and Kari Jobe as well as Passion artists Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker, Melodie Malone, and Chidima.

This project captures the sound of 55,000 18-25-year-olds lifting up the name of Jesus together, giving all of their praise and adoration to the King of Kings.

“There is a hunger for God right now in hearts of young adults all around the world,” shares Passion’s Brett Younker. “Call on Heaven is the sound of a generation that desires to know the holiness and the greatness of God. These songs carry a transcendent space between heaven and earth that lifts our eyes to see what’s possible and fill our hearts with faith. The sold-out Passion Conference returned to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in their home of Atlanta, GA with more than 55,000 in attendance. This year’s conference had a unique and special atmosphere which is reflected on the new live-recorded album, Call on Heaven.

The project features the live version of “He Who Is To Come,” with the live moment debuting today as well as the previously released “The Lord Will Provide.” Anticipating the full-length album, Passion released a video “Agnus Dei” showcasing the beautiful moment of worship on the last morning of the conference when the students in attendance continued to sing, “Holy, Holy are you, Lord God Almighty.”

North Carolina artist Branan Murphy releases his sophomore full-length and debut album on Paravel Records and DREAM Records. Testify, the full-length album from Rock City Worship officially releases today on all digital platforms. Testify is the follow-up to their EP of the same name that dropped in October 2023 and features nine additional songs.

The title track brings the overarching theme of the live project, in which the group collectively explains, “God has done great things for us.
