The GRAMMY-nominated songwriter and producer releases his 13-track debut studio album, Worship Leader’s Diary, via Sony Music/Provident Entertainment. Warm R&B sits at the center of the album, but its emotional language comes from somewhere deeper. Worship Leader’s Diary is intimate without being precious, spiritual without hiding the mess. ANTHNY writes about the distance that can exist between what someone sings on Sunday and what they actually believe on Monday. The title becomes revealing in that sense. Across 13 songs, he lets listeners into a journal that was never meant to sound polished from the inside.

“Worship Leader’s Diary is a collection of songs I’ve woven together through honest language and emotional melodies to highlight a young man’s relationship with God,” ANTHNY says. “My life as a worship leader is used as a metaphor that others can hopefully find themselves in, no matter where they are in life, and begin a journey of reconnection and intimacy with God.”

The album is also a conversation with the music that made him. Rather than treating the songs he grew up with as artifacts, ANTHNY pulls pieces of that musical memory into the present and reshapes them through his own R&B vocabulary.

On Dove-nominated “imposter syndrome,” ANTHNY interpolates Donald Lawrence’s “Spiritual,” turning a recognizable piece of gospel history into part of a song about the disconnect between the person standing onstage and the person left alone afterward. The track confronts the mental fight to believe your own calling when confidence disappears, ultimately moving toward repentance and redemption. That instinct continues throughout the record. “prepare me” with Naomi Raine reimagines the familiar melody of “Sanctuary,” while “show up” with Kierra Sheard-Kelly draws from John P. Kee’s “Show Up!” ANTHNY does more than revisit those songs. He pulls familiar musical ideas apart and rebuilds them through a contemporary lens, allowing generations of gospel and R&B to sit in the same room.

It is part homage, part reinvention.

Elsewhere, “pass me by” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid pushes deeper into the album’s R&B sensibility, pairing two expressive vocalists inside a slow-burning arrangement. Ahjah Walls also appears across the project. The album’s collaborative cast extends the world around ANTHNY without ever pulling focus from the intensely personal story at its center.

Worship Leader’s Diary arrives during a breakout year for ANTHNY, who enters the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards with three nominations. “imposter syndrome” is nominated for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song of the Year, while his diary entry 1 EP is up for Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year. His work as a songwriter also appears in Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year through Tasha Cobbs Leonard and John Legend’s “Church.” The latter earned him a GRAMMY nomination, placing his songwriting on one of music’s biggest stages before the arrival of his own debut album.

His growing profile extends beyond awards season. This summer, EBONY named ANTHNY to its 2026 STAMPED: Gentlemen of Sound class, recognizing him among a new generation of Black male artists making their mark in music. His breakout song “Mercy” has generated more than 30 million views across social media since taking off in 2024.

Long before his own name sat at the top of the artwork, ANTHNY was already helping shape songs from behind the scenes. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, he began touring nationally at just 11 years old. He has since written for artists including DOE and Kierra Sheard, while also working with Chandler Moore and Jubilee Worship. His credits include Jubilee Worship’s “No Bondage,” and his career has taken him on the road with Maverick City Music. Most recently, he opened for Tye Tribbett on the We Outside Tour alongside Jonathan McReynolds.

With Well Done, Leonard turns his attention to a collection of songs that have become deeply personal. Designed to be experienced from beginning to end, the six tracks carry a common thread of perseverance, mercy, and the faithfulness of God, all truths Leonard and his family found themselves living out in an unexpected way this year.

Earlier this year, Leonard’s daughter, River, was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after fluid accumulated around her heart, requiring surgery and a stay in the ICU on a ventilator. After 10 days in the hospital and steady improvements, River was able to return home. During those days, the Leonard family leaned on many of the same truths captured throughout Well Done.

“This record is for anyone who feels like giving up,” shares David Leonard. “For anyone who wonders if they’ve wandered too far or fallen too many times to still be met by the mercy of God. These songs remind us of His faithfulness: even when we lose our way, He never loses sight of us. He has never left us, and He never will. He’ll be with us through every mile, every failure, every victory, and every unknown, until the day He returns or calls us home.”

That message is at the heart of the EP’s title track, “Well Done.” After more than 20 years of making music, Leonard admits there have been days when he has wondered whether it might be easier to walk away. Instead, he keeps finding songs placed in his path that remind him to keep running the race and keep showing up, serving, and loving people, trusting that faithfulness matters more than achievement.

With Well Done, those years spent writing, producing, and creating converge with one of the most personal seasons of Leonard’s life, resulting in six songs meant to be heard as a complete journey and a simple invitation to keep going.

After a five-year detour and a season when he wasn’t sure he had another record in him, Cory Asbury releases his new studio album, Outsing The Angels, out now. The 15-track project captures Asbury’s deeply personal return to worship, an honest, wholehearted and full of renewed wonder.

Known for the triple-Platinum hit “Reckless Love,” Asbury spent more than five years away from the Church and worship ministry, questioning whether he would ever make another record. Outsing The Angels emerged on the other side of that season, reflecting a renewed calling and a willingness to worship without holding anything back.

“This album is for the ones done playing it safe, who break the jar and pour out everything like Mary at His feet, who’d rather be labeled wasteful than careful,” Asbury continues. “Lungs burning, voice breaking, nothing held back.”

Here I Am was a long time coming, starting with the release of “Church Clothes” last summer, a CMA Fest debut, an international performance, and solo tv debut. “We kind of looked at each other after we first recorded ‘Product of Pressure’ and said, if we’re going to do this, we’ve got to do things completely different,” says guitarist Donovan Roybal. “If we’re going to take this seriously, we’ve got to take it seriously. From that moment we were all 100% gung ho. It was a huge mind shift.”

“Product of Pressure” is “the story of us trying to put our stamp on the rock scene,” says guitarist Harrison Muffley (who also plays guitar in Decyfer Down). “We weren’t there for a while, but now we’re back. It’s like how a diamond is created – you get beat down and then hopefully you can turn that pain into something beautiful. That’s the story of Set For The Fall. Her UNSCRIPTED NIGHTS TOUR kicks off tonight in Charlotte, NC, where the opening show is sold out, beginning a multi-city run built around the idea that no two evenings should unfold exactly the same way. The Protest has released their first full-length project in five years with self-titled The Protest, a collection of songs representing perseverance, resilience and what it looks like to have some fight left in you after all of life’s struggles.

“Life now looks nothing like it did when we started this band in 2009. Victories, losses, cradles, and coffins. The best of times and the worst of times. The mundane and the miraculous both present at the table. Gratitude and suffering became the band’s fifth and sixth members. All the while, we have continued on,” The Protest shares.

Some of those themes have already been present through the singles leading into the album, “Cloudwalker” and “Griefcase.” The highs and lows are beautifully encapsulated in these sonic juxtapositions, as is The Protest’s ever-expanding musical range as a definitive grassroots rock act of our musical era.

“Music, as they say, is the universal language of mankind. Some days we would wake up and could speak that language fluently. The music and lyrics couldn’t get out of us fast enough. Other days, we would tap our pens on paper and stare at the fretboard void of inspiration,” the band reflects on the five years that this album was in process. “Five years is what was required to pour out our hearts and souls to speak the language of this album. In a world that is so fast-paced, five years have felt like twenty years to us. Though difficult to accept at times, it’s what God had planned for us. There were so many joys outside of music during these years, like starting families and great tour opportunities, but we also faced our share of adversities. These years have been among the most rewarding but difficult in our lives. Yet through the storms and sometimes impossible circumstances, we pressed on. It is by the grace of God and the band’s ‘never say die’ attitude that this album came together the way it did.”

These definitive life events and revelations make the album’s self-titled moniker a given: no collection of songs has better described who The Protest is and what they have set out to accomplish with their band. Produced by Mitchell Marlow (A Skylit Drive, Stitched Up Heart, New Years Day) and featuring cowrites with Josiah Prince and Andrew Stanton (Disciple) and Matt Baird (Spoken), the album is the band’s heaviest to date, both thematically and musically. But as always, it comes marked by the redemptive narrative that the band has always been known for, rooted in their unwavering faith in God’s goodness and love.

“Our trials have made these songs and the record so special to us. We wrote about the doubt that we face, the immeasurable love that we feel, and the fight that lives in our bones,” the band says earnestly. “These songs were fought for. They feel earned, lived-in, and reflect The Protest at our most authentic selves. Every song features the distinct fingerprint of each member: our hearts, passions, joys, anguishes, tears, sweat, and laughter. If you’re reading this, we hope you find something on this album that fills you with hope, liberation, and strength.”

After years of performing as a member of the acclaimed Booth Brothers and establishing himself as a solo artist, Booth says he has discovered a clearer sense of his individual voice and the musical and lyrical elements that best express who he is as an artist. “After doing the solo thing for a number of years, I think I’ve finally found my voice; what works and what is effective for me as an individual,” Booth says. “It took some time to figure that out, because it’s so different than the trio, but I’ve found the dynamics and lyrical content that I’m looking for.”

The album features songs that reflect Booth’s personal perspective and years of experience as a communicator and musician. Among the highlights are “Dream Small” and “That Was Then, This Is Now,” both written by acclaimed songwriter and artist Josh Wilson. “I could’ve done a whole tribute album to Josh Wilson,” Booth says. “He’s an incredible artist and writer. It’s like he gets in my head, pulls out my own thoughts, and turns them into songs. I really love these two songs in particular.”

Another standout is “If Not Today,” originally recorded by the Travelers Quartet. Booth rediscovered the song after his father reminded him of it before a tracking session. He reached out to Charlie Waller, who helped introduce the Booth family to the world, to obtain a copy of the song and bring it to life for a new generation. Booth produced the album with assistance from Steve Mauldin, and Darrell Toney helped bring his musical vision to life. “It was a fun experience for me to take control of the whole thing and do exactly what I wanted,” Booth says.

Gospel music has been part of Booth’s life since childhood, and his journey to the stage began on drums. As a young adult, he began singing alongside his father, Ron Sr., and brother Ronnie, eventually discovering the joy and purpose of ministering through singing. As a member of the Booth Brothers, Michael has performed around the world and received numerous honors, including GRAMMY®? nominations, GMA Dove Awards, Singing News Fan Awards and chart-topping songs. Today, his solo ministry continues that legacy while offering audiences a deeper look at the artist and communicator behind the music.

Soul-inspired pop singer/songwriter, pianist, worship leader and producer Natalie Layne releases her five-song EP, Still Running To You, from Centricity Music. The project celebrates the power found in the steady perseverance of faith over time.

Layne recorded Still Running To You with a live band of seasoned players in one room, giving the project an organic, communal tone. The classically trained Colorado native, now based in Nashville, co-produced every track and co-wrote the songs with award-winning songwriters, including David Spencer, Kyle Williams and Ethan Hulse.

“I want this music to feel timeless and meaningful,” Layne explains, “but I’ve learned we can’t do anything meaningful alone. The making of it has been really, really sweet. It’s been healing to do it with people I love who are so creative.”

The EP’s title track and radio single, “STILL RUNNING TO YOU,” seamlessly interpolates “Blessed Assurance,” the familiar hymn that has become Layne’s personal anthem. The song reflects her testimony of continuing to follow Jesus, keeping Him as her True North.

“I want people who grew up in church to know their story is really significant,” says Layne. “I hope this song connects with ‘church kids’ like me, because it’s special to be able to say that, after all these years, we’re still running to Him.”

Layne’s penchant for funk and her deft musicality surface in the dynamic EP opener, “BIG WORLD.” Accented by bright horns, the vibrant first song affirms listeners’ common identity as children of God.

“It’s just such a fun song that reminds me we’re all connected,” she observes. “I think about people’s stories as they walk in the doors when we’re playing a concert, and I remember that just for a moment, we can forget about all of our problems and disappointments and be in the same space together.”

Later in the tracklist, “YOU STAYED” is one of Layne’s favorite songs she has ever written. “In a world where it’s probably easier to leave or give up before stories are totally finished, the Lord really shows us what it looks like to stay,” she says of the message behind the anchor selection. “The power of staying is really valuable. Actually pressing through and sticking around for the long haul is where the gold is found.”
