[Music] A Very Merry Christmas – Planetshakers

Internationally recognized praise band Planetshakers globally releases “A Very Merry Christmas” from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://link.brddg.co/averymerrychristmas, the single features Planetshakers worship leaders Joth HuntAndy Harrison and Josh Ham along with the remarkable musical stylings of guitarist Mateus Asato and keyboardist Jesus Molina.

This jazzy, joyful new Christmas single celebrates family, togetherness and Jesus as the true reason for the season. Singing a blessing over families as he encourages listeners to join in on the chorus, Hunt wrote and produced the new song.

“Over the past couple of years, I have been modernizing Christmas carols, almost like remixing them with modern day production,” says Hunt. “As I was thinking about what I could do next, I thought it would be cool to have a modern take on ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas,’ so I wrote this original track. While producing ‘A Very Merry Christmas,’ I invited two of the greats in the industry, Mateus Asato and Jesus Molina, to lend their talents on guitar and keyboard respectively. The culmination of all this has become one very fun track to listen to and sing along with!”

“Christmas is about the One who came to give us life, joy, peace and so much more,” adds Planetshakers’ Joshua Brown. “We want our music to reflect the joy and life found in Christ, and there’s no better time than now to celebrate that with a Christmas song!”

“A Very Merry Christmas” follows last year’s acclaimed album, It’s Christmas Live, which combines Planetshakers’ unique musical interpretation of classic favorites alongside its original Christmas songs, a 59-voice choir and multiple drum, guitar, bass and keyboard musicians. The album’s companion video is featured on Amazon Prime Video while a 60-minute video special entitled, Christmas Down Under, Recorded Live from Planetshakers Australia, was also broadcast globally by Daystar Television Network, American’s largest Christian TV network.

Along with the Christmas music, Planetshakers released Revival: Live At Chapel last month. The album features the band performing 11 songs live in an intimate setting with Planetshakers Bible College students surrounding them in-the-round. Full-production versions of these same songs plus the track “Revival’s Here” are also available on Planetshakers’ REVIVAL that was recorded live during the REVIVAL Conference held April 1-3 at Planetshakers Church. Both albums capture the palpable joy of worshippers gathering together during a brief break in Melbourne, Australia’s pandemic lockdowns.

There is also a special Planetshakers Revival 7 Days Devotional available now on YouVersion at https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/27632-revival.

Although Melbourne is again locked down with one of the harshest restrictions in the world, Planetshakers continues its mission to “empower generations to win generations.” The ministry is seeing huge streaming numbers online with hundreds of thousands of people from all across the globe connecting to its worship services and resources remotely.

[Album] Revival: Live At Chapel – Planetshakers

Internationally recognized praise band Planetshakers globally releases Revival: Live At Chapel from Venture3Media (V3M). Available now at all major digital and streaming outlets via https://link.brddg.co/liveatchapel, the album was recorded live by Planetshakers band with Planetshakers Bible College students surrounding them in-the-round.

Residing in Melbourne, Australia, one of the most locked down cities in the world due to the pandemic, Planetshakers have not been able to meet as a church, and at some points, could not even travel more than a few miles from their homes or leave their house for more than an hour without special government permission. Nevertheless, during these unprecedented restrictions on life as they knew it, the church collectively felt God birth revival in their spirit, and what happened next was deemed nothing short of a miracle.

Stepping out in faith when government authorities opened up a window for limited gatherings, Pastor Russell Evans “pressed record” on what he saw God doing in the life of Planetshakers at its Bible College. While not the big production held in a massive arena that is generally expected from Planetshakers, the resulting Revival: Live At Chapel album was just as alive and celebratory, perhaps even more so due to the palpable joy of the students expressing worship together for the first time in months.

“These are songs for the church recorded with very little production, but with hearts that are hungry for the presence of God along with a few organic instruments,” shares Joth Hunt, who is featured on the recording along with Sam EvansAndy HarrisonJosh HamAimee EvansNatalie Ruiz and Rudy Nikkerud.

Pastor Sam Evans adds, “The songs, born out of a time where things looked so bleak, declare a different story, a God-story of faith, hope and trust in the unfailing Word of God, which is good and true in every season of life.”

“If you can declare the goodness of God in the valley when things are looking bad, you can declare the goodness of God anywhere. That’s faith. That’s a relationship with Christ,” says Planetshakers’ Joshua Brown.

Along with the audio produced and mixed by Hunt, all the new songs were captured on video live during the gathering and release simultaneously with the album today.

Full-production versions of these same songs plus the track “Revival’s Here” are also available on Planetshakers’ REVIVAL. This album was recorded live during the REVIVAL Conference held April 1-3 at Planetshakers Church in Melbourne during the brief break in the pandemic lockdowns. Capturing the pent-up, heartfelt roar of praise and worship that erupted during the conference, this is perhaps the most raw live recording ever released from Planetshakers. The album not only introduces some new worship leaders, but also features the core Planetshakers worship team.

[Album] REVIVAL – Planetshakers

Internationally recognized praise band Planetshakers globally releases REVIVAL today (Sept. 17) from Venture3Media (V3M). Available to pre-buy / pre-save now at all major digital and streaming outlets, the album was recorded live during the REVIVAL Conference held April 1-3 at Planetshakers Church in Melbourne, Australia during a brief break in the pandemic lockdowns.

With curfews set at 8:00 pm, and with only trips to the grocery store and up to two hours of outdoor exercise allowed, a word of hope – of revival – came from Planetshakers Pastor Russell Evans.

“As the world faces one of its most challenging predicaments and the church globally faces restrictions in the free world that are surprising to say the least, God declared over Planetshakers as a movement, ‘REVIVAL!’” exclaims Worship Leader and Pastor Sam Evans. “He then opened up a window of opportunity for us to join together as a church to hold REVIVAL Conference…It was raw, emotional and powerful! In the midst of restriction, God was not restricted. He moved in healing power – restoring, renewing, reviving.

“After being oppressed for months and months, it was such an incredible blessing to gather together,” continues Pastor Sam. “The songs we were singing and the declarations we were making were so the opposite of what we were experiencing. We want to share this experience with the world with the hope of encouraging and empowering others to stand on God’s promise and believe in His ability to revive any situation with His mighty resurrection power.”

Capturing the pent-up, heartfelt roar of praise and worship that erupted during the conference in perhaps the most raw live recording ever released from Planetshakers, REVIVAL is a full production experience. The album not only introduces some new worship leaders, but also features the core Planetshakers worship team consisting of Joth Hunt, Sam Evans, Andy HarrisonJosh HamAimee EvansNoah WalkerNatalie RuizChelsi NikkerudRudy Nikkerud and more.

In conjunction with today’s release of the album, there is also a special Planetshakers Revival 7 Days Devotional available now on YouVersion at https://www.bible.com/reading-plans/27632-revival.

Next month, these same songs have also been recorded by Planetshakers band with Planetshakers Bible College students surrounding them in-the-round on the Planetshakers Revival, Live At Chapel album releasing Oct. 15. More information on these accessible, unique and simplified versions of the songs will be shared online at Planetshakers.com.

Although Melbourne is again locked down with one of the harshest restrictions in the world despite relatively low numbers of COVID cases, Planetshakers continues its mission to “empower generations to win generations.” The ministry is seeing huge streaming numbers online with hundreds of thousands of people from all across the globe connecting to its worship services and resources remotely.

“The passion to see other people connected to God through worship hasn’t changed…It is my greatest source of joy and continues to motivate me and propel me forward,” shares Pastor Sam. “I want everyone all over the world to experience what I experience.”
