[Music Video] Grateful Response Live – Orphan No More

Orphan No More, a UK-based worship music collective, releases a live video for “Grateful Response,” which can be viewed below. The track is featured on the group’s latest release, Death Died, which dropped last week (Apr 2).

An honest and contemplative confession of faith and doubt, Death Died is interwoven with the challenging and freeing narrative of the life of the Rabbi Jesus. Written in the wake of loss and recorded during the height of lockdown and isolation, the project reaches out from the depths of the human experience into the scarred hands of divine love and acceptance.

As a community, Orphan No More has had a burning desire to get back to simplicity, to savor the beauty of the Gospel that is the good news of Jesus. In a year marked with isolation and loss, the need for simplicity in a world of chaos has become more transparent than ever. With the songs found on Death Died, which were written and produced by the Orphan No More Co and mixed by Will Reagan (United Pursuit), they’ve created an unfiltered reflection of the heart of their community, defined by love.

Orphan No More Releases ‘Death Died’ Project

Orphan No More, a music collective based in Bath, England, releases their new record titled Death Died. The band shares about the release, “written and recorded during lockdown this collection of songs, poems and stories celebrate the ancient gospel announcement that death has died and we are free.”

Orphan No More Co is not only a music community but it is also their mandate, mission, and conviction. “We believe our world needs to know a hope that prevails and a belonging that isn’t dependent on what we can or can’t do,” explains Joshua Luke Smith, co-founder of Orphan No More. “We belong because we are loved, we have hope because we believe our stories will be redeemed. One of the last things Jesus said to His followers before He died was, ‘I will not leave you as orphans.’ He was speaking of a spiritual state, where we live as those who are loved, found, and connected with God and one another.”
