Lyrics

Verse 1
In the darkness we were waiting
Without hope without light
Till from heaven You came running
There was mercy in Your eyes
To fulfil the law and prophets
To a virgin came the Word
From a throne of endless glory
To a cradle in the dirt

Chorus
Praise the Father
Praise the Son
Praise the Spirit three in one
God of glory
Majesty
Praise forever to the King of Kings

Verse 2
To reveal the kingdom coming
And to reconcile the lost
To redeem the whole creation
You did not despise the cross
For even in Your suffering
You saw to the other side
Knowing this was our salvation
Jesus for our sake You died

Verse 3
And the morning that You rose
All of heaven held its breath
Till that stone was moved for good
For the Lamb had conquered death
And the dead rose from their tombs
And the angels stood in awe
For the souls of all who’d come
To the Father are restored

Verse 4
And the Church of Christ was born
Then the Spirit lit the flame
Now this gospel truth of old
Shall not kneel shall not faint
By His blood and in His Name
In His freedom I am free
For the love of Jesus Christ
Who has resurrected me

Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing, “Alleluia”
Christ the Savior is born

Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord at Thy birth

Our devotion
Poured out on the feet of Jesus

[Music Album] Revival Nights Pt. 2 – Kim Walker-Smith

Renowned worship leader and songwriter Kim Walker-Smith’s Revival Nights Pt. 2 (Live) is now available. Jesus Culture’s worship leader recorded this project live from three locations earlier this year in Little Rock, Clarksville, and San Diego. In anticipation of the release, videos from the recordings have premiered all week including today with the debut of “Hurry.”

“My prayer is that as you listen, your heart will feel the surrounding warmth of the presence of God,” shares Kim Walker-Smith about this live recording. “I pray that your ears would be open to hearing that still small voice speaking love and hope to you. I pray that every burden you’ve been lugging around would be gently lifted off with the very first notes you hear. And most of all, I pray that you encounter Jesus and you are radically and forever changed by it. I believe with all my heart that I am here to serve the body of Christ, in this moment of time and I pray that this collection of captured moments, serves your heart and steers it closer to the heart of Jesus.”

Lakewood Music is supporting the new single with a lyric video (also available today) and an official music video, releasing July 16. A live video performance of the Spanish version releases July 23. “In the Name” impacts Christian radio stations across the country on July 16.

Wild Heart [ALBUM] – Kim Walker-Smith

Jesus Culture’s Kim Walker-Smith releases her first solo project in three years. Her new worship album, Wild Heart (Capitol CMG), explores themes of life, beginning again, and returning to our first love, and is a collection of live-recorded songs and moments that are joyful, raw, honest, and intimate.

“My last record, On My Side, was a collection of songs written from a desert season of my life. I was processing grief, anger, and pain. God met me in the desert and brought life and healing,” explains Kim Walker-Smith of the seasons that led to the new album. “Emerging from the desert ushered me into a season fresh with new life. This new album is a strong declaration of freedom and who God is. On the other side of a desert season are growth, a deeper connection to Jesus, and a new authority.”

“It’s challenging to release an album in the midst of a pandemic,” shares Kim Walker-Smith. “Of course, I would love to tour and to get in a room with people and not only share these songs but share moments of worship and the stories behind them. God is sovereign, and I am not surprised by the timing of this record.”

Wild Heart, her fifth album, was recorded live at the Cascade Theater in Redding, California in February before the pandemic hit the country. The location is important as it is where she was married and where her album Still Believe was recorded.

LYRICS
Find me in the valley
Standing with my hands held high
The valley will never take my song
Find me in the desert
Holding onto You for life
The desert will never take my song
The desert will never take my song

I will praise You
I will praise You
I won’t let the stones cry
I won’t let the stones cry out
I will praise You
Something in me has to
I won’t let the stones cry
I won’t let the stones cry out

Find me with the promise
Dancing where You prophesied
Still shouting of everything You’ve done
High up on the mountain
I was made to testify
Forever, You will have my song
Forever, You will have my song

The longer the wait, the longer I’ll praise
The stronger the pain, the stronger my faith grows
The higher the need, the higher I’ll reach
The greater the cost, the more I’ll believe for

LYRICS

You’ve held me close on dark nights
You’ve calmed me down when nothing could
For every time I felt alone
You pulled me in and called me friend

You’ve always been
And You’ll always be
The God who gives
Such perfect peace
So, all my fear
And anxiety
Will bow to my God
The King of Kings
My Prince of Peace

I’ve basked inside Your perfect light
And I’ve cried until the healing came
I’ve run away and back to You
And still You call me friend

I’m not afraid
I’m not afraid
Cause everything gives way
When I speak Your name

Kim Walker-Smith – Breathing Room (Live)

Kim Walker-Smith, Jesus Culture’s singer, song/writer and recording artist premiers Breathing Room – Her second single off highly anticipated 5th solo album dubbed Wild Heart.

I wanted to capture that feeling of new life and growth in the aesthetics of this album, so the night we recorded it, we had a stage full of the live plants and flowers! Our scenic designer, Eric Ponpetenieff, totally captured the vision of “WILD” and created something incredible with live trees, ferns, moss, and flowers. He turned the stage in to a lush living garden, he even brought in a eucalyptus tree from his own property! Needless to say, it smelled AMAZING in the theatre that night.

LYRICS

I have found breathing room
My soul can rest in You
No longer have to fight
The burden’s lifted
The weight is light
You are my steady ground
No need to worry now
The fog has cleared away
And I stand uncovered
Walk in Your grace

My heart is wide open
My heart is wide open
As I breathe in every word
That You’ve spoken

You speak right to my core
Don’t have to hide anymore
There’s nothing I can do
But stand in Your presence
Completely consumed

I’m letting go
I’m letting go
There is breathing room
For my soul

LYRICS

Waking up from the longest night
Fixing my eyes on a new horizon
Joy before me
Leave the past behind
There’s no turning back
There’s no turning back

Boldly I run
Into Your presence
Faith like a child
Known and protected
Here in Your arms
My shame is unraveling, unraveling
You make me

Fearless, Fearless
You call my heart
Out of the dark
Fearless, Fearless
Finally free
Your Spirit makes me
Fearless, Fearless

I was living underneath gray skies
Now I’m dancing in the light of heaven
Grace has found me
Brought me back to life
There’s no turning back
There’s no turning back

I’m alive to praise You
I was made to love You
I’m alive to praise You
There’s no turning back
There’s no turning back
