[Music] Rapha – Stephen McWhirter & Jason Clayborn

“Rapha,” the impassioned new single from acclaimed singer/songwriter and worship leader Stephen McWhirter and GRAMMY® and Stellar Award nominee Jason Clayborn, is now available from Lula Street Records (Integrity Music). Penned by the duo and produced by McWhirter, “Rapha” is an anthemic celebration of the name and nature of God the Healer.

“The heart behind the song is a desire to strengthen our own trust in God as Healer—not just physically, but also emotionally and relationally—in our churches, in this country and in the world,” shares McWhirter. “Having been radically healed from a drug addiction myself, I know God heals. However, my dad died of cancer and didn’t experience healing here on earth, so what do I do with that? We keep believing God, despite what we see with our own eyes. We keep worshipping Him through the trials, because either now or in eternity, He will keep His promise to be Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals.”

“We pray that when others hear ‘Rapha’ they are stirred deep inside with real Hope, and a knowing that God hasn’t changed,” Clayborn adds. “He is still the God who heals. He is still healing marriages, relationships and diseases. He is real!”

Drawing from a range of classic rock, Motown, pop and Gospel grooves, Stephen McWhirter and Jason Clayborn’s signature soul-drenched sound has been met with critical acclaim, carving a unique space in today’s worship landscape. The duo’s 2020 debut, Choir Sessions (feat. Jason Clayborn & The Atmosphere Changers), was followed by last year’s full-length sophomore set, Highest Praise. McWhirter and Clayborn also wrote and recorded the Christmas anthem “Born A King,” a single featured in 2020’s Christmas special for the blockbuster series The Chosen.

“Proverbs 27:17 says, ‘As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,’ and that is exactly what God has done with us,” explains Clayborn of the duo’s mission. “We come from totally different church music backgrounds—me from the Gospel world and Stephen from the worship and contemporary Christian sphere. However, God has taught us both how to honor and encourage each other without changing the perspectives we bring to the table.”

Stephen McWhirter is a touring worship leader, producer, speaker and author whose powerful testimony of divine deliverance from addiction is the cornerstone of his ministry platform. A founding member of the former worship collective Iron Bell Music, he is also a songwriter with Essential Music Publishing/Sony PLG and a Lula Street (Integrity Music) recording artist.

Tyscot recording artist Jason Clayborn—a GRAMMY® and Stellar Award nominee; Dove and BMI Music Award winner; and former member of the renowned hip-hop/gospel group The Righteous Riders—has penned hit songs for such artists as Bishop Hezekiah Walker and VaShawn Mitchell, among others. Clayborn and his choir, The Atmosphere Changers, were showcased on GRAMMY® nominated rapper Jack Harlow’s 2020 single “Same Guy” (feat. Adam Levine). Clayborn was recently honored with a solo Stellar Award nomination, alongside three nominations for Jason Clayborn & The Atmosphere Changers.

[Album] God Made it Beautiful – Jason Clayborn And The Atmosphere Changers

Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer Jason Clayborn and his incredible group, The Atmosphere Changers, have just released their brand new album, “God Made it Beautiful” and its available now on all major streaming platforms.  This album has been in the making for several years and fans are excited to hear the news!  This 13 song album encompasses other hits from the group that include “Praise Belongs to You”, the album’s title track “God Made it Beautiful”, and the leading single, “You’re All I Need (remix)” featuring Bishop Hezekiah Walker.

To help celebrate the release of his new album, which also happens to be the same weekend of his 40th birthday, Jason Clayborn & The Atmosphere Changers will also be in concert virtually via Facebook Live on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 8pm EST. On Sunday, May 30, Clayborn’s actual birthday, the full music video of “You’re All I Need (remix)” featuring Bishop Hezekiah Walker, will also be released! The virtual concert can be viewed through three page options: Jason Clayborn & The Atmosphere Changers, Jason Clayborn Secondpage, and Set Apart and Chosen Facebook page. “I’m so excited about all of the wonderful things that God is doing in this season…” says, Clayborn. He continues, “I feel like the music and the message of this record is what I believe people need to hear right now.”

This body of music is said to be a “no skip” album, says Clayborn. He even compares it to one of gospel music’s highest selling albums, God’s Property by gospel music legend, Kirk Franklin. Clayborn feels, much like God’s Property, that this is an album that has a song for everyone.  However if there were songs that he’s most excited for people to hear, he highlights “U Love Me” featuring Shantell Hankerson, “Do it Now” featuring Dominique Thompson, “Peace Grace and Mercy” featuring Carol Kirby-Green, and “Send Me”. However, he also says, “It’s really too hard to narrow down because the whole album is good!”

When asked about the overall message that he wants fans to remember, Clayborn says, “Remember that God can make any situation beautiful in your life. The process is beautiful even if it feels bad and you feel like you’re sowing in your ministry and in your business, but you don’t feel like its going to happen in the time that it was supposed to happen, but God can take any situation and make it beautiful.”

When asked about his final thoughts on the album, “I love God. I love what I do, and I love being able to write songs and watch them bless other people.”

Jason Clayborn Joins Forces With Hezekiah Walker For “You’re All I Need” Re-Release

Grammy-nominated songwriter and singer, Jason Clayborn, is teaming up with gospel music legend, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, for the re-release of the smash hit song, “You’re All I Need”. Clayborn was the original writer for the hit song that garnered Walker critical acclaim in both the Christian and secular music industry. However, for the first time ever, the writer has joined forces with the artist and the two are re-releasing the song in the form of a well orchestrated partnership, and will have fans living in the nostalgia of the moment. “This almost never happens…” says Clayborn when speaking of this momentous collaboration. “Often times, the writers of many of the songs that many of us love by our favorite artists go unnoticed, and sometimes unmentioned in the mainstream spotlight…” he continues, “…I’m so honored that Bishop Walker would be willing to do this track with me and help present me, my music, and my group, The Atmosphere Changers, to the world…”

“You’re All I Need” is currently the leading single at radio in preparation for the release of the full album, “God Made it Beautiful” to be released May 28, 2021 (the same weekend as Clayborn’s 40th birthday).
