Daphne Richardson is an exciting Canadian RnB artiste taking the gospel industry by storm. Her unique ability to draw listeners into her stories became crystal clear after the release of her debut EP, ‘Authentic’ in mid-2022. Her music showcases her fierce love for God and people through powerful vocals and impressive songwriting.

On ‘Thousands of Years’,  Daphne reflects on God’s timeless sovereignty, love, and intentional faithfulness. She says, “These last few years have brought various unprecedented circumstances fuelling much anxiety and fear. We know from scripture that perilous times came, went, and are expected. I find peace in knowing that the same God that parted the red sea, made the sun stand still, and closed the mouth of lions is the same God of today’s society.  His plans for us are good and not of disaster (Jeremiah 29:11). His covenant is everlasting and stands for thousands of generations (Psalm 105:8-10).” 

‘Thousands Of Years’ is a cleverly-produced track that reminds us that nothing is new, big, or intimidating to God. As the author of our lives, we can trust Him with every situation we face. His word is sure and we don’t need to second guess it. He knows what He’s doing. All He requires is our faith.

Since Daphne Richardson’s debut in 2020, she has been making great strides in the music industry. Now for the first time, a monumental moment, we are glad to announce her first body of work on the 20th day of May, 2022. Canadian singer/songwriter Daphne Richardson is not called a music powerhouse for no reason. Featuring MOBO award-winner CalledOut Music and Folabi Nuel, Daphne adds new melodies to her catalog. Born from personal experiences and Daphne’s passion for rebuilding hearts and minds through her music, ‘Authentic’ takes us on a journey of self discovery in Christ while reaffirming God’s love for each of us.

‘Authentic’ is a soulful 5-track EP packed with inspiring lyrics and lovely vocals that will have you thinking about the importance of true Authenticity. It reminds us that although we are a work-in-progress, we can find completion in the love of Christ. The beauty of that love is felt in every track as she sings about the victory we find in Christ as believers despite the struggles we go through. When asked about the EP, Daphne says;

“Whether it be that God’s love greets us every morning, or that He’s not done with us, or that this Christian journey is worth giving everything for – each song has a message for the listener to receive and be encouraged by. I pray listeners feel the passion and excitement that we felt as we created these songs. I hope it does something in the hearts of everyone who hears it.”

Canadian music powerhouse Daphne Richardson has released her new single  ‘Heavy’ – a soulful and personal anthem of resilience and encouragement. Following the successful release of her last single ‘Eternal Eyes’ in collaboration with her label mate CalledOut Music, she has blended old school gospel with modern R&B to create such a beautiful and uplifting ballad.

Rooted in 2nd Corinthians 4:9 which says, we are “persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed”, ‘Heavy’ a fervent reminder that regardless of how many times life tries to knock us down, we will never be destroyed. 

“This single was written during a very difficult season. Some seasons can be so hard that it literally feels like they rob you of your breath, energy and passion. 

I was pressed on all sides and tested in ways I never was before. In that season, I was reminded that even in the heaviest and darkest times, God is still with us. I hope this song uplifts people who are going through heavy, dark, depressing, or hopeless seasons.” – Daphne Richardson

Daphne Richardson is a gospel artist, minister, vocal coach, YouTuber and vocalist from Ottawa Canada. She has a degree in Psychology and is a mental health advocate.

It is no news that Daphne Richardson has become a force to look out for in recent times. Since announcing her sign- ing to one of the UK’s leading gospel record label, HFP Music in March, Daphne Richardson has gone on to release two beautiful singles – ‘Invitation’ in May and ‘Timeless One’ in July. Daphne has been growing her fan base globally through her unconventional sound and heart for pure and undiluted worship.

Her newest single is no different, with its purity and message. It however is a unique first of many future collaborations to come! To the excitement of their fans Daphne revealed on social media that this song features label-mate, award winning singer/songwriter and music producer, CalledOut Music.

According to Daphne, “it was important for me to collaborate with someone who just got the mes- sage of the song.
