“Look At What Grace Can Do is a song that’s about my story. We always need God’s grace, it’s always working in us who know Jesus. But there was a recent time in my life, over a few years, when I was just really making a mess of things.

There was sin in my life, I was selfish, making poor decisions, it was just a mess. In a lot of ways I’m still coming out of that season. But I can’t even tell you how powerfully God met me at my lowest point when I thought so many things were just over. I can’t tell you how loved I felt by him as he picked me up and rearranged all the pieces of my life.

I feel new and I know it’s all because of his grace. Whatever mess I’ve made, whatever mess you’ve made, his grace is greater. It’s what Jesus loves to do. That’s the gospel. There’s really good news that Jesus redeems broken things and broken people, and there’s no limit to what his grace can do to turn things around. This song just came from me sitting at a piano and looking back…and weeping and worshiping. There’s no feeling like realizing the grace of God in your life and being amazed by it. It’s probably why we love that hymn so much.” – Branan Murphy

[Music] Father – Branan Murphy

Branan Murphy releases his new single “Father” (Paravel / DREAM) available on all digital service providers today.  The song is released as both a single track and a multitrack coupled with a Dolby Atmos version on Apple Music.

This upbeat pop song was produced by Grammy nominated and 2021 Dove Award winning producer of the year Jordan Sapp.  Murphy also teamed up with Sapp and Dove Award winning songwriter, Paul Duncan to pen the song.

“Father” is a worshipful song amongst the chaos of the world but dig deeper and there’s another layer that addresses the cry’s of absence fathers in the home.

“I was in the studio with Jordan Sapp and Paul Duncan and it was right around the time of all the tragic things that were happening in Afghanistan last year”, Branan explains during a recent interview. We were talking about all of that, and I remember we were all just overwhelmed at how extra crazy the world seemed that day. From Covid to all the political stuff in America to Afghanistan. It was just very real to us that day that the world doesn’t just need God, it needs a Father.

“There’s so much fatherlessness everywhere as it is, but then on top of that, to not know your Creator, your heavenly Father, that’s a hopeless place to be. When you think about it, so many times, the world just looks like a bunch of children without their dad. Sadly, for way too many, that’s true. So we started writing, diagnosing our issues, and we wanted a song that was a desperate cry for help, a cry for the love and the presence of the Father in the mess we’ve made on earth, knowing that he’s not far at all from any of us.”

“Father” will be sent to radio at the turn of the 2023 year and is available now to download/stream.

Earlier this week we shared a TCB Exclusive, where Murphy reflects on what inspired this new song, how he hopes “Father” connects with listeners and where he’s drawing inspiration from recently.

[Music] Love Won’t Let Go – Branan Murphy

Fresh off his first career chart topping radio single, Branan Murphy returns with his newest single, “Love Won’t Let Go” (Paravel / DREAM) now available at all digital service providers. The song was produced by Grammy nominated and 2021 Dove Award winning producer of the year Jordan Sapp.  The song was also written by Branan Murphy, Jordan Sapp and Dove Award winning songwriter, Paul Duncan.

“The past few years have been some of the hardest years of my life”, says Murphy.  “My faith has been challenged, my identity has been challenged, I’ve experienced a lot of disappointment, failure, and longings. But I’m learning that when I go through things like that is when Jesus holds on to me the tightest. These are the moments when faith is proven genuine, and as much as life has hurt me, I’m really thankful to God that he would allow things to happen so that I would know just how deep and satisfying and sufficient and real his love is. I might want to give up, but he never will. I might want to run away, but he will never leave. The essence of following Jesus is not about the measure of my love for him. It’s all about how immeasurable his love is for me. His love is perfect, his love is patient, his love will never let us go.”

The single comes as Branan enjoys growing buzz and building momentum off the success of 2021’s “Better King” EP which features the aforementioned number one single “This World Is Not My Home” and current hit single “Better King”. “Love Won’t Let Go” will be the lead single from his upcoming sophomore LP Life is Hard, God is Good set to be released later this year.

“Dream is once again excited to partner with Sam Fisher and the Paravel Records team on Branan’s next venture,” adds Lance Brown, Parter at DREAM Label Group & Publishing.  “With every single, Branan is taking large leaps forward and every song just keeps getting better and better.  We are excited to see what God will do with this fantastic song.”

[EP] Better King – Branan Murphy

Branan Murphy releases his new EP Better King (DREAM Records & Paravel Records) to all digital retail outlets today.  The North Carolina native teamed up with producers Eric Ramey, Justin Amundrud, Kyle Williams, TBabz and David Spencer to create his best work yet.  Branan started releasing songs from his EP earlier last year when he debuted his first single “I Will Wait” that saw a Billboard Top 10 Hot AC / CHR single from it.

Since, songs like “Good”, “Bored (feat. Byron Juane)”, and his ever #1 Billboard Hot AC / CHR single “This World Is Not My Home” have broken new ground for the artist.  Now, with a new bass driven pop single “Better King” and an Afrobeat remix by TBabz that features Oba Reengy, the EP sets the stage for what’s the come with Murphy.  Branan shares his heart behind his new EP.

“To be honest, this EP kind of snuck up on us. I was writing songs in the middle of a pandemic, trying to respond to all that was happening in the world and all that was happening in me, and these songs just feel like they fit together. If anything, I think the times we’ve been living in have been a revealer. I have been able to see what’s true about myself in ways that I wouldn’t have otherwise. I see how much being dependent on God is what I was made for, how much joy there is in that dependence, how control is a mirage, how life is best when I just let Jesus be king instead of myself. This whole EP is me remembering who I am and who he is, and how that allows me to have the most freedom and the most joy in this really crazy and challenging world we find ourselves in right now.” – Branan Murphy

Together Now – Redeemed Ft. Branan Murphy, Mia Lazar & Michael Georges Jr.

North Carolina worship collective Together Now releases their debut song on Dream Records & Paravel Records.  This powerful track features Michael Georges Jr., Mia Lazar and Branan Murphy.

“This song started during the darkest part of the Covid lockdown when along with everyone else, I was hurting and needed communion with others; Christ was near. I was met with the presence of God one day after reading Romans 5. When I think of the vastness of His love for me, despite the shame of my sin, I am overwhelmed.  I am Redeemed. Bought with a price because of his great love for the ones he created. The truest form of sacrifice, the most beautiful outpouring of love. Jesus didn’t just SAY he loves us; He PROVED it on the cross.” – Mia Lazar

“But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8 CSB

“I can’t even believe this is real, exclaims Branan Murphy. I have worked so hard, and prayed for so long to be in God’s will as it pertains to making music for people. Achievements like this are not why I do what I do, but this means so much to me. I’m overwhelmed and thankful to everyone who believes in me and believes in this song. God is so good and so faithful.”

Paravel Founder, Sam Fisher, who has worked with Branan for nearly a decade saw this  latest achievement as a validation of sorts. “I remember the day Branan turned in “This World Is Not My Home”. I called him and said, ‘mark it down—this song will be the biggest of your career’. I always thought it had a shot at some real success, especially having Dream as a promotion and marketing partner. The fact that I could be a part of Branan’s first #1 record after everything we’ve been through, makes this accomplishment that much sweeter.”

The song has reached new heights with audiences and retailers for Murphy.  Upon the release of “This World Is Not My Home” it saw key features on Apple Music’s Risers, Amazon’s Fresh Christian and Christian Hits, SOZO’s Top Christian Hits, Pandora’s Today’s Christian Hits and YouTube’s Christian-Pop Party, Christian Music on the Rise and Christian Goes Pop playlists.

Branan signed with both Paravel and Dream Records in 2020 after releasing his popular hit album Who Am I in 2019.  After signing with Paravel/Dream, Branan wrote and released songs fan-favorites “Good” and “I Will Wait”, which also saw top 10 success on Billboard’s Hot AC / CHR chart as well.

“We feel blessed and honored to be in partnership with Sam Fisher at Paravel and Branan Murphy.  Branan is such an amazingly talented artist with so much to give this incredible community, says Lance Brown, GM and Partner at DREAM Label Group.  “I’m incredibly grateful to the radio stations that showed him so much support.”
