Kirk Franklin – Strong God (Official Music Video)

Kirk Franklin – Acclaimed luminary gospel music icon premiers visuals for STRONG GOD off latest dual GRAMMY winning album LONG LIVE LOVE – 2019.

The video was directed by Joey Papa and shines a light on some of the most serious issues that the world is facing including, poverty, racism, drug addiction, domestic violence and the covid-19 pandemic.

Portions of the thought-provoking video were inspired by a recent trip to the Dominican Republic that Franklin took with the non-profit organization, Compassion International. He serves as a music artist ambassador for the charity, which provides holistic child development to children and families in impoverished communities all over the world through local churches.

Watch TOGETHER (feat. Kirk Franklin and Tori Kelly)

Lyrics:
[For King & Country:]
This is for the busted heart
This is for the question marks
This is for the outcast soul
Lost control, no one knows

Sing it for the can’t go back
Sing it for the broken past
Sing it for the just found out
Life is now upside down

If you’re looking for hope tonight
Raise your hand
If you’re feeling alone
And don’t understand
If you’re fighting
In the fight of your life
Then stand
We’re gonna make it through this
Hand in hand

If we fall
We will fall together, together

[Tori Kelly:]
This is for the second chance
This is for the new romance
Sing it for the loved in vain
Overcame, it’s not too late

[For King & Country and Tori Kelly:]
If you’re looking for hope tonight
Raise your hand
If you’re feeling alone
And don’t understand
If you’re fighting
In the fight of your life
Then stand
We’re gonna make it through this
Hand in hand

If we fall
We will fall together, together
When we rise
We will rise together, together, oh
We will rise together

[Kirk Franklin w/ Choir:]
Listen
If you’re looking for hope tonight
And you’re all alone
If you’re feeling alone tonight
Can you feel
If you’re in the fight of your life
I can promise
We’re gonna make it hand in hand

I will be by your side
By your side
Cause love is in the air tonight
Can you feel it
Come up and see the light
Whenever and wherever
Just as long as we’re together, say

[For King & Country, Tori Kelly, & Kirk Franklin w/ Choir:]
If we fall
We will fall together
I got you my brother, together
I see you my sister
When we rise
We will rise together, together
Help me say

If we fall
We will fall together
Take my hand, together
Help me stand
When we rise
We will rise together, together

[For King & Country:]
Together we are dangerous
Together with our differences
Together we are bolder
Braver, stronger

LYRICS

OK
Woke up to a world that is changing
Looking out the window, got me wondering lately
Will we be ok, will we be ok

One day I can feel the sun shining
Next day a bullet can leave a momma cryin’
Will she be ok, tell me will we be ok
Life is taking everything that I have, just to survive.

I got twenty-five dollars in my pocket
And I think another ten in my glove compartment
I’m trying so bad not to cry, but it’s hard to stop it
But you say all of my needs you promised you got it

So I’m gone be ok
I’m gone be ok (Ok, Ok)
See I gotta remember, that my God is bigger
Than any battle I’ll ever face
So I’m gone be ok

Why do we hate one another
When love is the most beautiful color
It takes away the grey, and makes everything ok

Where is the American dream
If only one percent knows what it means
To be really ok… tell me is that ok
Life is taking everything that I have, just to survive

I got twenty-five dollars in my pocket
And I think another ten in my glove compartment
I’m trying so bad not to cry but it’s hard to stop it
But you say all of my needs you promised you got it

So I’m gone be ok
I’m gone be ok (Ok, Ok)
See I gotta remember, that my God is bigger
Than any battle I’ll ever face
So I’m gone be ok

See our God is great, this season of pain it won’t last always
Life is taking everything that I have, just to survive

You got twenty-five dollars in your pocket
And you think another ten in your glove compartment
But that family with no food
Would trade places with you
Give thanks and don’t forget how you got it

And you gone be ok
We gone be ok (Ok, ok)

See I gotta remember
That my God is bigger
Than any battle I’ll ever face
So I’m gone be ok
We gone be ok
And you gone be ok
So I’m gone be ok (Ok , Ok)
So I’m gone be ok..

LYRICS

Verse 1:
Just for me, many doors you’ve closed
Just for me, sometimes you will say no
So I’ll be, tested in your fire, to purify my desires
So my blessings won’t be

Just for me, so caught up in myself, I couldn’t see
The world did not revolve around me
So storms are in your will, so I can feel what others feel…
Their needs…
If I could speak honestly

CHORUS:
It don’t feel good, but growing never does
It don’t seem fair, for you to call this love
But if necessary pain, is the ingredient for change
Even when life may be bittersweet
It’s working…

Verse 2:
Just for me, all the moments I missed that were
Just for me, because I chose not to wait patiently
But for every mistake, was the same amount of grace
That kept my blessing waiting

Just for me, but trusting your timing is not easy
And what I want’s not always what I need
But somewhere I forgot, you are God and I am not…
I see…If I could speak honestly…

CHORUS:
It don’t feel good, but growing never does
It don’t seem fair, for you to call this love
But if necessary pain, is the ingredient for change
Even when life may be bittersweet
It’s working…

Bridge
Ooh la la-ah, ooo la la-ah , oh la la-aa-ah la, la la ,la la-
[I’m singing] Ooh la la-ah , ooo la la-ah , oh la la-aa-ah la, la la ,la la-

CHORUS:
It don’t feel good, but growing never does
It don’t seem fair, for you to call this love
But if necessary pain, is the ingredient for change
Even when life may be bittersweet
It’s working… [Repeat 2x]

Outro
Just For Me…. [Repeat as needed]
