Building upon the success of two GRAMMY® nominations and coming off the first leg of a national tour with Lauren Daigle, two-time DOVE Award winner Blessing Offor has released a brand-new track today, “Somebody’s Child,” featuring a collaboration with global music icon Dolly Parton. Blessing’s poignant vocal and masterful piano playing introduces “Somebody’s Child,” before Dolly joins in along with a vocal choir to bring it all home.
Written by Blessing, Josh Ronen, and Joy Williams, “Somebody’s Child” is a contemplation on compassion and humanity.
“We’re all ‘somebody’s child,’ Blessing explains. “It’s such a simple concept, but I hope it’s the beginning of us all realizing that there’s always a point of empathy, there’s always common ground if we want to find it. And there’s no better embodiment of finding common ground, finding relatability, than Dolly Parton. I’m so honored and humbled to have her on this project.”
“I know it’s too easy to say it was a blessing singing with Blessing,” Dolly says, “but it was. I love the song ‘Somebody’s Child’ and I am very proud to be a part of it.”
The music video begins with Blessing at the piano in a backlit room, showcasing not only his talent, but the evocation of emotion through his fingers as they hit the keys. At the end of the first verse, Dolly places her hand on Blessing’s shoulder before giving her impassioned vocal.
With interpolated images of children and parents in real-world situations, this song gives an important reminder about humanity in our society, and that every day spent with the ones you love is a treasured gift.
Blessing is currently on the road, and will join Lauren Daigle on more dates later this year.

Curb Records award-winning band Sidewalk Prophets returns with megawatt anthem “Hurt People (Love Will Heal Our Hearts),” Serving as the lead track from the group’s upcoming fifth studio album, “Hurt People (Love Will Heal Our Hearts)” offers Sidewalk Prophets’ first taste of new music since 2020’s The Things That Got Us Here.
“It’s easy to fight hurt with hurt. We sometimes hide behind our tough words, sarcasm, pettiness and meanness. But all these responses steer us away from what we really want — HEALING,” observes Sidewalk Prophets frontman Dave Frey about the ultimate message behind the new song. “Hurt people, hurt people, but only the grace and love of Christ will heal our hearts.”
Doling out ample amounts of kindness, both for ourselves and others, the massive pop offering encourages listeners to extend forgiveness for the sharp words that often leave us feeling wounded and defensive. “Hurt People (Love Will Heal Our Hearts)” was written by Frey, Ben McDonald, Parker Welling and Jonathan Smith, and produced by Mark Campbell and Sidewalk Prophets members Cal Joslin and Dan Macal.
The trio recently wrapped the spring leg of their acclaimed “Songs & Stories Tour.” After debuting the intimate acoustic outing in 55 markets last year, the band took their stripped-down set to an additional 20 cities across 12 states in March and April. More tour dates will be announced soon as Sidewalk Prophets begins to preview new music from their next full-length project.

Our song Hurt People love will heal our hearts, comes from a place of trying to really understand the condition of our hearts. How do we deal with the hole that hurt leaves behind? Is healing hurt even possible?
Hurt is such a complex thing. Sometimes it can start out as sarcasm, maybe a snarky comment? Other times we hurt people in subtle ways without even knowing it. We are full of feelings that are sometimes evident, and other times buried deep beneath the surface. One action of hurt topples the others like a line of dominoes and before you know it can completely overwhelm. We begin to consciously or unconsciously weaponize our pain against each other.
The truth about hurt is that there is only one proven way to deal with it.
You see, the only way we can heal our hearts is to recognize, and let go of all the things that stand in the way of seeking what God desires for our lives and relationships. When the hurt of the world was placed upon our savior, Jesus looked at the very people that deserved to be hurt and said, “Father forgive them, they know not what they do.” To rest in the power, grace and love of Jesus, that’s what heals the hurt in our hearts.
Hurt people hurt people but the love of God will heal our hearts, then another, then another. -SWP
Phil Thompson’s beloved Gospel tune “All of My Worship” has a brand-new recording out now by Afrobeats Worship, featuring Tanzanian Gospel singer, Paul Clement. Kanjii Mbugua (singer-songwriter, worship pastor, and worship artist) and Rashon Murph (music producer, music director and songwriter) came together to re-create this song with a native sound and African roots. They originally developed a deep relationship with Phil Thompson’s version that was sung often in Kenya.
Having performed the song at his church in Atlanta with Phil years ago, Rashon feels he has been graced with the opportunity to now reimagine it. Kanjii connects “All of My Worship” to Romans 12:1, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

My desire is that this song sparks conversations between women from all generations… how have we equipped women to live their most authentic lives, unafraid? ‘Labor’ also takes into account childhood wounds. Moriah’s very existence heals me. I find redemption in the whole process of being a mother. I look into her eyes and I see myself. I can approach myself with more compassion and grace. Loving her frees me to love myself well.”
Written by Maryanne herself, and produced by Stephen Blake Kanicka (Kanye West, For KING & COUNTRY)), “Labor” dives deep into the theme of expanding one’s mind and allowing women to embrace their identities fully. Maryanne’s lyrics beautifully capture the transformative process of childbirth, both physically, mentally and spiritually.
She pulls from personal experience when she became a mother herself a little over two years ago. She felt through her own experience, she became ‘reborn’, where the act of giving birth not only brings forth new life but also leads to a rediscovery of self—a multifaceted and empowered version. Maryanne candidly shares her journey, from moments of doubt and regret during labor to the profound joy and empowerment she experiences afterward.
“Labor” is more than a song; it’s a celebration of resilience, self-discovery, and the power of saying “yes” to one’s identity and aspirations.

“RIP” is the first single from bodie’s EP slated to release later this year. Cowriting the song with Sajan Nauriyal and Nick Bays, it follows his rendition of Brandon Lake’s hit “Gratitude” which dropped last month and was the song bodie performed during the season finale of “The Voice.”
Following the recent announcement of signing bodie to their label family, Provident Entertainment is thrilled to release the Season 22 “The Voice” finalist’s first original song today, “RIP.”
With “RIP,” bodie explains, “I wanted to write a song that celebrated the decision and miracle of dying to one’s fleshly nature (Galatians 5:24), and living as a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The lyrics are pretty straightforward and aggressive to really drive home the message that experiencing a deep relationship with Christ comes at the cost of consistently leaving your old life behind and denying your flesh daily. I’m so excited for you to hear my new song ‘RIP,’ and I also hope it inspires you and makes you headbang in your Prius.”

“Eulogy” is the latest in a string of gorgeous, folk-inflected singles taken from his forthcoming solo LP In Bloom out May 31st.
Throughout his career, beloved singer/songwriter, Switchfoot frontman, and Social icon Jon Foreman has never shied away from confronting the big questions that life presents. On his latest single “Eulogy” (out today), Foreman attacks the ghosts of his past head-on with his trademark poetic lyricism and tasteful acoustic instrumentation.
Recorded alongside producer James McAlister (Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Sufjan Stevens), “Eulogy” sees Foreman asking the question: “why not eulogize the living?”. As a touring musician and father of two, he realized that thoughts of death were permeating his mind more often than he expected.
Rather than blocking out these feelings and clinging to the past as a nostalgic reminder of youth, Foreman decided that he should embrace his own mortality and celebrate life’s multitudes that make us unique. Written as a celebration rather than a song of mourning, “Eulogy” serves as a reminder to let go of the rear view mirror and step into the present.
Emblematic of the song’s message, “Eulogy” notably features Foreman’s daughter Daisy singing harmony with her father during the chorus: “Every day I write the eulogy / For everything I used to be / I’m still aiming for a better me.”

Speaking about the track, Foreman noted: “Why not eulogize the living? Mark the river as we go? I am unfolding. Becoming. Learning. Growing. “Eulogy” celebrates this transformation. Honoring the death of everything I used to be. I am the mosaic of a shattered man, broken and becoming who I am.
Let the dead bury the dead. I am in flow. In flux. Let us eulogize the past, and bury the old man, so that we, the living, can step into the present.”
To celebrate In Bloom’s release, Foreman will be playing a triumphant hometown show at the Belly Up Tavern in San Diego on May 28th. Widely known as one of San Diego’s most beloved hometown heroes, the show will see Foreman performing songs from the new album as well as hits from throughout his deep catalog.
