Washington, DC — CD Porter, Javon Inman, and Rob Mercer emerged from Washington DC as individual talents with award-winning careers and ministries. The three joined together in a 2016 West Africa mission and music trip which inspired them to create a musical force and super-group called DRK 2 LGHT. In 2020 they released their debut hit single and video “He Keeps On”.

DRK 2 LGHT has unified their individual strengths as songwriters, musicians, and singers with blended styles spanning from Urban-soul to traditional Gospel. The trio throw in a chunk of funk and hint of pop-rock to their foundation of worship music to create their sound to be forever branded as DRK 2 LGHT.

CD, Javon, and Rob are continually creating music and are now set to release their second single “Fix My Heart”. “Fix My Heart” is written by Javon and produced by Tone Jonez who also produced the group’s first single. “Fix My Heart” is going for adds and airplay at Gospel radio now and will be available on all digital music outlets on April 23.

“Fix My Heart” is a rock-driven head-banger song that has a soulful chorus that gives the track heat! The trio delivers the song with a powerful performance and ministers the lyrics with heart.

“Any great song perfectly marries melody and message,” Rob shares. “That’s what Javon has written with FIX MY HEART. It’s a fiery cry from a broken place and God never rejects a contrite heart.”

Byron Walker is positioned to answer the call of God with the April 15th release of his new single, “Send Me.”  On this single, Walker enlists  assistance from award winning singer and recently appointed Bishop Designate the Distinguished Gentleman of Gospel, Earnest Pugh.

Walker’s humble beginnings set the stage for a divinely appointed kingdom assignment.  The hand of God was upon his life as he started singing at the age of two.  God used this young man to write books and songs from his youth.  He entered ministry very young and committed his life to the spiritual disciplines of prayer and the study of God’s word. Today, he is a strong prophetic voice, yielded for the Master’s use.

Multiple award winner Earnest Pugh lends his phenomenal vocal abilities to this single that sends a message to God of his availability to do the Lord’s work as well as to enlist others for the same work.  Walker states, “The scripture says, the harvest is ripe but the laborers are few, and God is sending those whom he has equipped to reach the lost and those who are hurting. People need to know that Jesus still saves, heals and delivers”.

Curb | Word Entertainment’s Sidewalk Prophets released a special live performance video for “You Love Me Anyway” last night (Apr 13).

The video was filmed at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. “You Love Me Anyway” was originally featured on the band’s 2009 album These Simple Truths.

“All Things New,” a new single from Rebekah Reitzel, goes for adds today to Christian AC-formatted radio outlets. Billboard hitmaker Sal Oliveri (Carrie Underwood, Pink) produced the single, which Reitzel wrote. A video for “All Things New” is available on YouTube.

The single is from a five-track project titled “Pages,” the debut collection from Reitzel, who says she decided at age 7 that music would be her mission and lifework.

“This is what I know I’ve been put on this earth to do: to make music,” she says, adding that her mother played worship music and put the headphones to her belly when Reitzel was in the womb, an action that likely led to Reitzel’s passion and talent.

With her music out, Reitzel’s hope is that the songs will encourage all who hear them.

“Ultimately, it is about others,” she says, “Bringing the Kingdom to earth with what I have been entrusted to steward. The redemption and the hope and the love and the grace and the mercy of our creator God is for them, too – for everyone. Our God is a God of redemption, and He can and will take every experience in life and use it for our good and His glory.”

“Steady,” a new single from Natural State, a Chattanooga, Tennessee-based band, goes for adds today to Christian AC-formatted radio outlets. The single was released to digital outlets in March.

“Steady” was written by Haley Morgan, Dell Sartin and Keith Everette Smith. Smith, a multiple Grammy Award winner, who is married to Christian singer/songwriter Tasha Layton and part of TobyMac’s Diverse City Band, also produced the single.

“We are so excited for you to hear the truths in this song! After a year like 2020, we all need to be reminded that God is faithful and always remains steady,” the band says.

Though the single is the first under the Natural State moniker, the group, formerly called Landers Music Co., has toured and released music for several years.

“God did some awesome things through LMC and we are grateful for how He used it,” the band members have said.

“The new name, Natural State, evokes so much meaning spiritually to us,” says Haley Morgan, lead vocalist. “There is a void inside us all that calls out for our Creator. There’s a need that we are met with at some point in life that longs for a Savior. There is a purpose for each of us here on this earth to be lived out and fulfilled. This is how we were created from the beginning. To know and love God. To love and serve others. That is the state that God wants us to live in with Him, our original, natural state.” Lead vocalist, Haley, explains “It doesn’t always come naturally for us to love God with all of our heart. But I desire for our music to authentically point people to Jesus, our Hope.”

While making music as Landers Music Co., the band toured with Colton Dixon, Manic Drive, Tru Serva and others. In 2020, under the name Natural State, the group was set to tour with Colton Dixon, Manic Drive and Citizen Way. The tour was canceled due to Covid-19, however.

In 2019, Landers Music Co. released a single titled “Walls,” which debuted at No. 1 at CRC Weekly. The single also hit No. 4 at CRC Monthly, No. 5 at CRC Quarterly and No 9 at CRC Yearly.

Its been two years since Reach Records introduced the world to the talents of Wande, where she also became the first female artist signed to the hip hop label. These young women have formed an unconventional sisterhood filled with love, admiration, friendly competition and respect.
