Ellie Holcomb released the official music video for “Sweet Ever After” featuring Bear Rinehart, which can be viewed below. “Sweet Ever After” was featured on Holcomb’s latest release Canyon. 

This hope-filled album showcases an all-star team of co-writers such as Natalie Hemby, Bear Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE, Thad Cockrell, David Leonard, and Jon Guerra. Canyon was produced by Cason Cooley and executive produced by her father Brown Bannister. Canyon is a record about a deeper sorrow and a higher hope. Click here to listen to the full-length album.

“To be human is to be broken,” shares Ellie Holcomb about the central theme flowing throughout her album. “We all know what it is for our hearts to be split wide open like a canyon by the pain and loss and sorrow, we encounter here. I spent a lot of my life trying to pretend like I wasn’t broken, trying to ignore some of the deepest wounds in my own story and some of the deepest wounds in the world around me, but what I encountered as I began to lean into these broken places was the nearness, kindness, and empathy of God, who sent His son to break for us, so we could know that our brokenness is never the end of the story.”

In a time when much of the world is facing significant challenges, Life.Church’s Switch is reminding people where to turn with its new single, “Better View” (Sony Music/ Provident’s Essential Worship). Available today, this hope-filled song was written for anyone who has trouble choosing to trust God when they face hardships.

“It can be scary to keep moving forward when we can’t see where we’re going, but we can trust that God will reveal exactly what we need to see to take our next step,” said Cassidy Estevez, Switch member and Ministry Leader of Worship Arts at Life.Church. “Walking with God doesn’t mean we’ll see everything perfectly, but with His help, we’ll have a better view.”

The track was produced by Louis Biancaniello and Michael Biancaniello and was written by Life.Church’s Cassidy Estevez, Rob Estevez, Luke Guevara, and Dameon Aranda. Alongside a second single called “Good Friend” that releases on Sept 10, “Better View” will be included on an upcoming EP titled Better View, Part Ithat drops Sept. 24.

GRAMMY Award-nominated rock band NEEDTOBREATHE released an acoustic version of their hit single “I Wanna Remember” featuring seven-time GRAMMY Award winner Carrie Underwood. “I Wanna Remember” was featured on NEEDTOBREATHE’s latest studio album, Into The Mystery, which dropped July 30 via Elektra Records. AfroGospel artiste Munachi is out with the video for “Off Dem,” a single off his “Psalms of a Hood Boy” EP, released in September, 2020.

“Off Dem” is the introductory track for the EP but swiftly evolved into an anthem. The EP received a deluxe edition in 2021.

The song, which is very suggestive with its title, will make the overtly religious cringe, but Munachi’s message remains Jesus as always. It encourages patience in the face of trials till one’s testimony comes and answers for unfair criticisms and mockery.

DJONTHEARTIST is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and actor. Known for his distinctive voice and musical style, DJon’s original entry into a musical career started as a ghostwriter, which lead to his 2016 decision to take a leap into the City of Angeles,  Los Angeles to step into the light as an artist.

In his formative years, DJON discovered he had a gift and dreamed to one day take his talent to the globe.  After graduating from high school in 2004, he began cultivating his vocal and musical artistry. However, in August of that same year, Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the entire region. Amidst the chaos,  his family’s home was badly damaged and destroyed, prompting him to set aside his musical ambitions and take some time to reconstruct the narrative of DJON.

Eventually, the Johnson family moved to Memphis, TN intending to stay only a short while, but quickly became the family’s new residence. A new city and culture of people created new opportunities that lead to acquiring a songwriting deal and collaboration with singers and songwriters in the greater Memphis area.

In 2016 DJON moved to Los Angeles, where he connected with several artists and made tv appearances on such shows as: Jimmy Kimmel and The Late Late Show with James Corden. In addition, he made his short film debut on “Josh” and music video “One More Day” by Snoop Dogg.

With great anticipation in the air, DJON is now stepping from the shadows into the light singing a soulful, spiritual adaptation, “Amazing God.” co-written with singer, OnlyBenton.  This phenomenal new single goes live on all streaming platforms Friday, August 20, 2021.
