A song for your situation and a declaration over those we stand in the gap for. I cannot wait to hear some of the testimonies of breakthrough as faith is stirred and worshippers rise up.”

In The Wild’s debut single, Ease My Burdens, is now available on digital platforms.
Written, performed, and produced by Jeff Owen, former guitarist for Tenth Avenue North, the song was penned as a simple prayer during a season of transition.
“After Tenth Avenue North came to a close and my family moved to Florida after leaving Nashville, I started pouring out ideas and songs from a very natural and personal place. It was a sobering feeling to be outside of the only life I’ve ever known and be in a completely different environment. So during that time, I would play my guitar outside and just stare up at the sky, dreaming, thinking, and praying. It was there that this song and a few others flowed out of me,” Owen shares.
From the beginning, listeners are drawn in by a soothing rhythmic track, a warm comforting vocal, and space for reflective moments. Simple, yet expressive lyrics point to a Creator who cares for His greatest creation — people.
“I intentionally crafted this song in a way that would sort of operate in the background of people’s lives. Ease My Burdens might be your companion by a campfire, while you’re doing the dishes or studying. My hope is that the song would help facilitate the prayer life of others,” says Owen. “It’s amazing how much lighter I feel after much prayer and crying out to God. And it’s not about the feeling — it’s about the realization that God is our provider, not us.”
Authenticity seeps through Ease My Burdens and is sure to help stir honest times of reflection and dialogue in the hearts of listeners.
“I think the industry lacks in raw and organic artistry and I hope this song resonates with believers who are hungry for it,” says Owen. “Sometimes worship doesn’t look larger than life. Sometimes it looks vulnerable and bare. I want Ease My Burdens to connect with people who are hungry for worship music that fits in between their moments of life.”
