Tedashii has explored various sounds in his career. Records like “Dum Dum” or “Go Hard” early in his career showed his natural ability to rap and his hunger to share the gospel. BEC chart-topper Tasha Layton returns today with the deeply personal “Lay It Down,” a soul-saturated pop ballad echoing the promise of Jesus: “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). Celebrating freedom from fear, worry, and strife, “Lay It Down” was written by Layton, Jess Cates, and Kalley Heiligenthal, along with GRAMMY® and Dove Award-winner Keith Everette Smith, who also produced the track.

Layton is set to share “Lay It Down” and “Never”—her Christian radio single rapidly climbing the charts—with audiences around the country as she steps into the spotlight for her debut headlining tour this fall. With special guest Jeremy Rosado, Layton’s “Look What You’ve Done Tour” kicks off October 26 in Indianapolis and will hit eight cities before concluding on November 12 in Columbus, Ohio.
In addition, Layton and acclaimed singer/songwriter Hannah Kerr will be special guests on Big Daddy Weave’s upcoming “Heaven Changes Everything Tour.” The multi-city fall outing begins September 20 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and will hit Houston; Greenwich, Connecticut; and Rochester, New York, among other stops, before a November 19 finale in New Port Richey, Florida.
