Josh Wilson is entering an exciting new chapter of music with his first new song of the year. The deeply personal track titled “It Gets Better” The song was inspired by Wilson’s struggle with anxiety, depression and alcohol addiction and is meant to be a source of encouragement and support for those struggling with mental health.
I’ve struggled for many years with anxiety and panic attacks, and more recently with depression. Until 2017, I self medicated my anxiety with alcohol, and eventually became addicted. By the grace of God (and with the help of family, friends, and therapy) I’m almost 7 years sober now. I’ll talk a lot about this song over the next few weeks, but the short story is that whether it’s in this life or the next, it’s going to get better. I love the quote “It all works out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out, it’s just not the end.” Jesus loves you and so do I.
Wilson promises 23 more new songs are slated for release throughout this year. Stay tuned for more details soon.

“This song came from a desire to focus our services and gatherings around what we are there to do—to worship God in all that we sing, speak, and pray. I wrote this song with our good friends Brandon Coker and Clay Finnesand for North Point Worship, and as we were praying and talking about what our churches needed, it became clear that we both needed a liturgical opener. This song has been such a blessing to our church, we hope it blesses you as well.” – Michael Monroe, Canyon Hills Worship

These things are continuing to happen week after week! When we wrote this song, it was to try and express what Jesus has done in our lives and in the lives of others.”

“The song is based in the scripture that talks about the evidence of God’s Kingdom in people’s lives.
