Jordan Smith, the celebrated singer-songwriter who rose to fame as the highest-selling artist in the history of the smash television talent show “The Voice,” continues to spotlight his gospel roots with the release of his new single, “The Blood.” This powerful track, available now, showcases Smith’s immense vocal range and deep connection to the music that has shaped his life.

“The Blood” is the second single from Smith’s highly-anticipated fifth studio album and gospel debut, The People’s Hymnal, set to release on February 21, 2025, via Gaither Music Group.

Co-produced by gospel and rock luminaries Tommy Sims (who co-wrote Eric Clapton’s GRAMMY-winning song, “Change the World” and has worked with everyone from CeCe Winans to Bruce Springsteen) and Colin Linden (Lucinda Williams, the McCrary Sisters, also the primary music producer, songwriter and musician for ABC’s hit show “Nashville”), the album reimagines beloved hymns with contemporary artistry, bridging the sacred and the soulful.

Smith recalls a transformative moment in the studio while recording “The Blood”: “Tommy said, ‘Step up to the mic and tell me how the blood of Jesus has impacted your life.’”

The track’s deeply funky, sinewy bass line—courtesy of co-producer Sims—anchors Smith’s soaring vocals, drawing listeners into a raw and honest reflection of faith. Recorded in Nashville, the song captures the spontaneity and emotion that define The People’s Hymnal.

“The whole third verse of ‘The Blood’ is just what came out as a testimony,” Smith continues. “It’s an organic expression of what’s in my heart.”

Smith first captured the nation’s attention as the Season 9 winner of “The Voice” in 2015. He quickly made history on Billboard’s Christian Charts, simultaneously holding the top two positions; and his debut album soared to No. 2 in iTunes sales. Muscle Shoals, AL native, songwriter and dynamic vocalist Rachel Purcell releases her debut Centricity Music radio single, “Show Up”.

Mirroring Purcell’s personality with an upbeat melody and optimistic lyrics, “Show Up” grasps fans with the relatable yearning for God to make Himself known in the midst of the ordinary. This song serves as the first big step in Purcell’s move to Christian music after years of critically-acclaimed success in the country genre under maiden name Rachel Wammack.

Purcell, a lifelong Christian music fan who grew up singing in church, co-wrote “Show Up” with Trannie Anderson (Lainey Wilson, Anne Wilson) and the song’s producer, Jeff Pardo (Matthew West, Katy Nichole). The soulful pop selection showcases a vibrant retro flavor reminiscent of the sounds that originated in Muscle Shoals.

“God has shown up for me in times when I had no idea what to do or how to pick myself up or even when I didn’t want to get out of bed,” shares Purcell. “Sometimes you write something you think you’re writing for other people, only to later realize you needed it. I feel like I wrote this song for ‘future me’ as much as I wrote it for ‘present me.’ I’m praying this song will be helpful for a lot of people, meeting them where they’re at, like it met me.”

Internationally recognized praise and worship band Planetshakers and the dynamic, multicultural youth ministry of Planetshakers Church, planetboom, launch 2025 with three new singles. Planetshakers releases both the joyful song of praise “Good Day (Live)” and the worshipful, declarative “Miracle Worker (Live)” as planetboom shares the anthemic worship single “Jesus Forever.”

Breakout artist Josiah Queen ushers in 2025 with the exuberant new anthem “Can’t Steal My Joy” ft. 5x GRAMMY Award winner Brandon Lake. The track marks the young Tampa native’s first release since signing to Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG). 

Queen and Lake wrote the inspiring song with Hank Bentley and Jacob Sooter, who produced. Listen to “Can’t Steal My Joy”. Queen racked up over five million combined views as he teased the single in the lead-up to its release.

“This song came from the idea that our joy isn’t dependent on the situations we face in our lives,” explains Josiah Queen. “It says in the Bible ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength.’ A lot of times we read that verse and don’t think about the power we have in joy. All of my life, the enemy has tried to rob me of my joy, but he can’t have something he never gave me.”

Queen – who sold out his first-ever headline tour in 2024, which took him to over 40 U.S. cities – will embark on his 2025 global headline tour on March 6 in the U.K. See below for initial itinerary. He’ll be on the road for the rest of the year, with additional dates to be announced soon.

Josiah, who turns 22 tomorrow, grew up on the road, traveling around the U.S. with his mom, who was a preacher. Those experiences were instrumental in inspiring him to write songs.
