[Music] Started With You – Dan Bremnes

Dan Bremnes goes back to the beginning on “Started With You.” Part gratitude, part grapple, the atmospheric pop track reveals the singer-songwriter, at times, gasping for air as he wrestles down hope.

A tale of coming back to life, Bremnes credits his Maker for salvation and relief as easily as he credits his loved ones for sticking by his side when he hit rock bottom. A song for those at the end of their rope, “Started With You” offers a light at the end of the tunnel for anyone who’s ever felt forsaken.

Anchor Hymns Shares “The Garden” From Upcoming Album

Anchor Hymns presents “The Garden,” the collective’s new single announcing an upcoming album. Recorded live at Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville, TN, in the very place where tragedy ripped the community apart a year prior, this project offers hope in the heartbreak and points to the dawn of resurrection despite the void of loss.

“The Garden” is a song for grief without dwelling in sadness. It’s an ode to what walking with God through tragedy is like and reflects on Christ’s time in the Garden of Gethsemane – the in-between where death and resurrection were both a reality. Led by Sandra McCracken and Sarah Kroger, the single is atmospheric and spacious, inviting listeners to experience Jesus’ love through lyrics that weave imagery from Eden and Gethsemane together.

“We considered the various images of a garden in the Bible and noticed some rich and poetic parallels. I find this [song] to be deeply contemplative,” McCracken explained. Since its inception, Anchor Hymns has sought to create space for suffering and celebration alike. The collective’s founder, Andrew Osenga, noted, “We mourn, but we rejoice. We doubt, but we believe,” a sentiment encapsulated in “The Garden.”

[Download] King David – Reach Records Feat. Lecrae, Trip Lee, Anike, Jackie Hill Perry & Alexxander

Reach Records celebrates 116 Day with the release of the powerful new single “King David” featuring Lecrae, Trip Lee, Anike, Jackie Hill Perry, and dynamic Christian-Latin artist Alexxander. The single is available now on all major streaming platforms.

January 16, dubbed 116 Day, has become a longstanding tradition for Reach Records and fans of The 116 Movement. Founded in the early 2000s by Lecrae and Ben Washer, The 116 Movement began as a bold declaration of living unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, inspired by Romans 1:16:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…”

What started as a lifestyle statement evolved into a groundbreaking musical expression, leading to the creation of Reach Records in 2004. Over two decades later, Reach Records has become a global force in faith-based music, with Grammy Awards, platinum records, Unashamed Tours, and an unwavering mission: to change the way people see the world through faith, music, and culture.

On “KING DAVID,” hard-hitting 808s set the stage for introspective verses reflecting on God’s power to conquer life’s greatest challenges. Grammy Award-winning producer and Reach Records A&R Ace Harris shared the vision behind the single:

“As we enter a new year, it’s vital to remember that the giants in our lives may seem massive to us, but they’re small in comparison to God. He’s the only Giant worth fearing.”

“When we started the 116 Movement, we had no idea how far God would take it. We were just a group of people unashamed of the gospel, wanting to make music that inspired others to live boldly for Christ” says Lecrae, “Over 20 years later, I’m grateful to see how this movement continues to impact lives around the world. It’s a blessing to still be here, creating, collaborating, and celebrating what God has done.”

“KING DAVID” is more than just a song—it’s a call to faith and perseverance. Join Reach Records in celebrating 116 Day by streaming the single now and sharing the message of living unashamed for Christ.
