Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling’s Freshman Album Available In Digital Format

The coveted freshman album from celebrated choir Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling, is now available as a digital release from HezHouse Entertainment.

“It is an honor to have this body of work finally available to our longtime fans, and fans of Gospel music overall. We regularly get questions about the availability of this album. People play the music in bits and pieces through YouTube performances of different songs. Now they can have it cohesively in their collections and on their playlists,” says Tiunna Lemons, who was an integral part of this recording.

“As our first album, Kevin wanted to be sure that Destined for Greatness set the standard for what Higher Calling is all about: Jesus first, faith-filled hope, impeccable musicality and a family of singers committed to our calling.

A lot was on the line, but I think that we clearly let the world know that Higher Calling was here to stay. Kevin would be so excited to finally have this music available to the masses,” she says.

Destined for Greatness features 13 full tracks that highlight the powerful vocals of Kevin Lemons and Higher Calling, while inspiring listeners to remember their God-given purpose. The title track reminds listeners that they are indeed destined for greatness.

On other standout tracks such as “I Confess” and “I Speak Change,” Kevin Lemons and Higher Calling encourage listeners to declare God’s word over their lives.

Hezekiah Walker says, “Destined for Greatness should be in every choir lover’s list of Top-10 albums. It was our first introduction to the gift of Kevin Lemons as a choirmaster, who brilliantly showcased the beauty of multiple voices uniting in harmony to deliver songs that soothe the soul. I’m excited to make this important part of Gospel music history available in a digital format.”

Kevin Lemons left a potent legacy in Higher Calling. That legacy is reflected on this inaugural recording that can now be experienced in digital formats.

Trip Lee Releases “Confetti”

Dallas-born rapper, author, preacher, husband, and father, Trip Lee releases new single “Confetti” making it his fourth new single in four straight months. Produced and performed entirely by himself, this song addresses living life from the perspective and realization that our battles are already won.

Trip explains, “We can often be tempted to lose confidence in God’s way. But spoiler alert – Jesus wins in the end and brings us with Him. So even when the score looks bad, you don’t have to wait to raise the banner and throw confetti.” Personally, Trip has dealt with a chronic illness that affects every area of his life.

While this condition is frequently discouraging and frustrating, Trip strives to persevere and live daily in confidence and celebration.

“I use a lot of sports metaphors throughout the song, especially about being an underdog,” says Trip. “As a believer, I know that even when it looks bad, God is working it for my good.”

In April of this year, Trip released his first new single of 2023, “At The Cross” ft. Madison Ryann Ward kicking off his monthly release streak. He’s remained faithful to that promise releasing his second single “Lay Down” in May and now his third single, “Glory.”

On top of that, he continues to bring even more to the world through the “End.Notes” podcast sponsored by VOICES of Our Daily Bread. Stay tuned for new episodes on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Friday of every month!

Trip Lee’s storied career began over a decade ago after a chance meeting with Lecrae and the Reach Records team at a show. 6 full length albums later and over 5 years of planting and pastoring churches, all while dealing with chronic fatigue, Trip is fully committed to music once again and ready to impact the world through hopeful lyricism and handcrafted sounds.

Looking toward the future, Trip’s aim is to “reframe and replace our vision of despair and deconstruction with hope and sanctification.” His new music is the fruit of his endurance and a reminder that even when we come to what feels like “the end,” There is More to The Story.

Patrick Mayberry Drops New Version Of Recent Track Feat. Crowder

Singer, songwriter and worship leader Patrick Mayberry is set to release his highly anticipated, first full-length Centricity Music album, Wild Faith, the album sets a large table for everyone with untamed melodies and astute lyrics, all artfully crafted and intentionally threaded together to take listeners on a life-changing journey.

An invitation to bravely explore the great unknown, Wild Faith expands Mayberry’s repertoire by effortlessly straddling the line between songs meant for congregational worship, concert experiences, radio airplay and personal reflections.

“We’ve domesticated our faith so much that we’ve taken the wild adventure out of it,” Mayberry contends of the soft and soaring “Wild Faith” title track that features guest vocals from Kalley Heiligenthal. “

This whole past season of my life has been marked by stepping out in wild faith. I think the Lord was like, ‘You thought this song was for other people, but this song is for you, buddy.’ I’m asking God to guide my steps, and I’ll just keep taking ‘em.”

Along the way, Mayberry is praying Psalm 23, asking God to “Lead On Good Shepherd,” the name of an upbeat track that goes to radio Aug. 4. Produced by Mayberry and Jacob Arnold, and written by Mayberry, Paul Duncan and Frankie Orella, the song begins with a Grand Ole Opry-worthy spirit before morphing into a foot-stomping rock groove, turning the peaceful passage into a roaring celebration.

“Psalm 23 always gets used as a comforting Scripture at funerals when I think it’s just such a comforting verse for life. This Good Shepherd promises to walk alongside us every single step of the way — providing for us, protecting us, telling us to rest, leading us by still waters,” Mayberry says. “

God’s track record has proven He’s a good and faithful shepherd, so I’m going to keep following, step by step. I’m going to trust Him, so lead on, Good Shepherd.”

Along with this single, which follows Wild Faith’Air1-premiered hit worship anthem “Easy To Praise” to radio, there is a special version of “Lead On Good Shepherd” available today and featuring Crowder, whom Mayberry toured with last year. The album also features “He’s Just That Good” and the introspective “A Million Times” that delves into Mayberry’s ability to detour into personal storytelling.

Passionate about seeing people connect with the heart of God through music and corporate worship, Mayberry is taking the new music and fan favorites on tour with Jeremy Camp this fall for a 15-city tour across Canada and the US.

Natalie Layne Drops Centricity Music Debut EP

Soul-inspired pop singer/songwriter, pianist, worship leader and producer Natalie Layne releases her six-song Centricity Music debut EP, Amen. Joy is the common thread woven throughout her introductory recording that speaks to the power of finding the good in moments that don’t necessarily feel good.

Inspired by the simple kindness of a neighbor waving and smiling as they passed in her neighborhood, Layne co-wrote the lead, title track with hit-making songwriters Benji Cowart and David Spencer. “Amen,” as well as the whole album’s sonic direction, is meant to be as welcoming as a friend and as cohesive as that of a seasoned artist, with the messages behind the music stemming from her personal experience.

After growing up in the church, during her teen years, Layne recognized she had to make her faith her own, determining what she believed apart from her parents. This became even more crucial when she began leading worship under the mentorship of respected worship pastors such as Cory Asbury, Jon Egan and Jared Anderson.

She penned the half dozen songs that comprise Amen for that teenage girl in the thick of unraveling her own convictions.

“I want to talk about the power of staying. Sometimes finding the Lord for yourself and choosing to stay can be harder than leaving, but life with Jesus really is better. It’s not perfect, but it’s way better,” Layne shares. “

I want to write songs for the lifelong church kids, but at the same time, I want people who have left or who are far off to hear these songs and be called back home. No matter which end of the spectrum people find themselves on, I want to give them permission to feel like their story matters.”

It’s also Layne’s desire that everyone’s story be marked by the same kind of joy she’s experienced through choosing to follow Jesus. And that’s the overarching banner that consistently encircles her art.

Along with the title track, Amen features Layne’s viral TikTok track “Grateful For” that was written with award-winning songwriters Mitch Wong and Jimmy James. It also includes the live-recorded closing track “Arms of God,” which is the first song she’s ever released that she’s produced solely by herself. This intimate selection is built on piano and filled out with lush strings that allows her impeccable, friendly vocal to shine.

“I’ve just always wanted to make music that brings people joy. I think we need joyful songs to get us through the day sometimes, and God’s given me a lot of permission to go for the happy songs,” Layne says. “If these songs could bring people joy, even in little ways, that would be a win.”

“Dennis Quaid’s Christianity is at the forefront of his new album, an homage to the faith he says got him out of addiction,” writes USA TodayGarden & Gun adds, “Dennis Quaid’s nearly fifty-year career is marked by both its prolificacy and its high quality. Combining soul-stirring renditions of seven hymns and classics with five original songs, Quaid delivers honest, inspiring lyrics sung with unmistakable tones that reflect heartfelt gratitude and eternal hope.

He previewed Fallen through the early release of “Why Me Lord” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.” American Songwriter notes Quaid “shows off his rugged vocals” on “Why Me Lord” and “honors the humble nature of the song with his soft delivery” on “What a Friend We Have in Jesus.”

In his PEOPLE cover story, the multi-hyphenate entertainer takes readers inside The Clement House recording studio and his Nashville home, where he opens up about faith, love and second chances. “I’m grateful to still be here, I’m grateful to be alive really every day.

It’s important to really enjoy your ride in life as much as you can, because there’s a lot of challenges and stuff to knock it down,” shares Quaid. The issue is available now on newsstands nationwide.

Fallen was executive produced by Quaid with producers David R. “Fergie” Ferguson, Ben Isaacs and Chris Lindsey. The Isaacs and Jackson Brumley supply background vocals on “I’ll Fly Away,” while The Oak Ridge Boys join Quaid on “Life’s Railway to Heaven.”

During a recent TalkShopLive® appearance at RFD-TV, Quaid chatted with host Bill Cody about each of the tracks. Fans can catch Quaid performing songs from Fallen at the Grand Ole Opry on Thursday.

Originally released on the soundtrack for Quaid’s faith-based film I CAN ONLY IMAGINE, “On My Way to Heaven” was inspired by the global superstar’s public grapple with addiction.

“The sincerity and authenticity displayed in that track would be worth a purchase by itself,” praises Absolutely Gospel. Quaid also vulnerably acknowledges these personal struggles and his subsequent return to Christianity on songs like the title track.

Fallen follows Quaid’s 2018 album, Out of the Box, described by Quaid as a junkyard of American music. Though he loves writing, recording and making movies, music holds a special place in the Texas native’s heart, and for the last four decades, he has toured extensively, displaying equal ease on the piano and acoustic guitar.

Quaid enchants audiences with a set list that ranges from songs such as those included on Fallen to rock ‘n’ roll standards like “Great Balls of Fire!,” an homage to “the Killer,” whom he portrayed in the 1989 box office smash.

Also known for his roles in THE ROOKIE, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, TRAFFIC, VANTAGE POINT, FREQUENCY, THE PARENT TRAP, SOUL SURFER, THE RIGHT STUFF, BREAKING AWAY and MIDWAY, Quaid’s recent big-screen credits include starring roles in Netflix’s uplifting movie, BLUE MIRACLE, Sony’s thriller THE INTRUDER, Universal’s A DOG’S JOURNEY and A DOG’S PURPOSE and Disney’s animated adventure film STRANGE WORLD.

He also recently completed production portraying the 40th president of the United States in the biopic, REAGAN, slated for release in early 2024.

KB Reveals Hypnotic Latin/Urban Track ‘DANZA’ Feat. Niko Eme & Cardec Drums

Four-time Dove Award-winning hip hop artist KB, has unveiled his second single from his upcoming album His Glory Alone II, titled “Danza”; an upbeat Dominican-style track where he links up with Latin producer and music artist Niko Eme and Puerto Rican drummer, producer and composer Cardec Drums.

“ ‘Danza’ is a feel good song, with some classic Fred Hammond crossover infused throughout,” explains the Southside Rabbi host. “It’s all about encouraging us to have fun in the presence of God.”

To support the song release, KB dropped the official music video that was directed by Karsten Winegeart & Cobe Grandstaff and was shot in the surrounding areas of Tampa. (insert music video here). The song’s style draws inspiration from the vibrant Dominican music genre “Dembow,” known for its lively and collective dancing and celebration.

The intention behind the video was to capture the essence of the song as a gathering of Believers joyfully expressing their devotion to The Lord and to offer a renewed portrayal of the genre, which traditionally depicts a community reveling in their shared experiences through dance and camaraderie.

‘Danza’ is one of 16 tracks on His Glory Alone II, set to release on Sony’s RCAI/Provident Entertainment on August 11. The album features numerous guest artists including Lecrae, Wande, Britt Nicole and more. The author and Billboard Chart-topping artist says this album is his most vulnerable yet.

Acting as the sequel to his previous record released in 2020, and the soundtrack to his latest book Dangerous Jesus: Why the Only Thing More Risky than Getting Jesus Right Is Getting Jesus Wrong, KB collaborated with producers WEARETHEGOOD, Scootie Wop and Cardec Drums to deliver a full length project that expresses the infiniteness of God.

Additionally, KB peels back the layers of his own heart and journey, facing childhood trauma, abandonment, confusion and doubt with unapologetic transparency.
