Matthew West Releases “Chosen” & Announces Upcoming Release Of Next Album

Five-time GRAMMY-nominated Christian artist and songwriter Matthew West announces his 13th studio album, Don’t Stop Praying, due Friday, Oct. 4. Giving fans a sneak peek into the highly-anticipated project, West releases “Chosen,” available everywhere today, accompanied by an all-new lyric video capturing the powerful message the new track shares. Come October, the album will arrive in full with 12 inspiring tracks, including “Chosen,” and his No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart, “Don’t Stop Praying.” A co-writer on all songs, West’s forthcoming project is dedicated to the theme of commitment to prayer in 2024.

“I’ve been waiting for the right time to announce what I’ve been working on and the day has finally come,” shared West. “I’m excited about this new record because each song is a story I’ve wanted to tell the world. Everything I write is inspired by what I’m experiencing in my story and what I’m seeing happen in the world around me. And while each song is different in its message, I feel like this album carries one central heartbeat: the message of a God who sees us, knows us, chooses us, loves us, and hears us when we pray. The song “Chosen,” speaks powerfully to me because I often forget that I’m worthy of being known by the creator of the universe. I had a feeling somebody out there needed that reminder too. October 4th can’t get here fast enough!”

Today’s release shines a light on the relatable insecurities we all face every day – from feeling abandoned, unworthy or like you don’t belong, West’s compelling vocals and poignant lyrics remind listeners of the constant truth: you are specially chosen by God for exactly who you are. Written by West, hailed by Billboard as “one of Christian music’s most prolific singer-songwriters” along with Jeff Pardo, the song reassures listeners of their purpose and God’s unwavering love. “You have been chosen, seen, known and loved every moment,” he proclaims. Watch the accompanying lyric video here.

Sean Rodriguez Shares Title Track From Forthcoming Debut EP

Offering a lifeline of Hope to anyone treading the treacherous waters of unexpected grief or hardship, Sean Rodriguez delivers the powerful new anthem “Jesus Will.” The latest in a string of inspired singles from the WieRok Entertainment recording artist, “Jesus Will” is now available on streaming platforms and is set to be the title-track of Rodriguez’s forthcoming debut EP.

Penned by Rodriguez, Ricky Vazquez and Joshua David Cockerham—the latter of whom also produced the song— “Jesus Will” captures Rodriguez’s heart in the wake of his aunt’s sudden passing last year. “My first thought when I heard the news was, ‘That’s not fair,’ and I questioned why God allowed it to happen,” Rodriguez admits. “My aunt was a selfless servant of God, so to find out that she met the Lord at 48 years old truly seemed unfair. I wasn’t questioning God’s presence or His love, but I was simply asking, ‘How could this happen?’”

“Because of my aunt’s ability to see God’s goodness through the storm, I believe the lyrics of ‘Jesus Will’ are words she would have shared with somebody hurting,” he says of the song’s inspiration. “I want this track to offer truth, hope, promise, and comfort for those who might be contemplating turning away from God.”

The accompanying visual clip for “Jesus Will” further emphasizes the song’s poignant theme. “The lyrics in the video are displayed in my handwriting, almost like a personal letter to anyone who needs this message,” Rodriguez shares. “The lines that capture the essence of the song’s meaning are: ‘You can’t go back you don’t know how to move on/But you’re still here and He’s still God your story isn’t done/You will bend and you will break/But you will rise in Jesus’ name/Because right here and right now/He is working all things out’.

“Jesus Will” joins Rodriguez’s previous 2024 singles, “House of God” and “Honey,” in comprising three of six tracks to be featured on the upcoming Jesus Will EP. In addition, Rodriguez and his band are performing the new selections around the country as part of the Jesus Will Summer Tour. The multi-city outing includes stops at such leading festivals as Kingdom Bound, Agape Fest, Elevation Fest and Unity Fest, among others.

AOH Music To Release “Same God (Of David’s Heart)” August 2

AOH Music (vocalist Brianne Nealon, drummer Jimmy Meier, and guitarist/producer Jack Garno) reminds us that our God is the same God He’s always been, and always will be, with their new single “Same God (Of David’s Heart),” releasing Friday, August 2nd.

The song was primarily inspired by Hebrews 13:8, “What Jesus Christ was yesterday, and is today, and forever.” From the Old Testament to the New, the Lord throughout time is the same God who delivers us from our spiritual Egypt, offering us eternal life.

“It’s easy to forget that we are in communion with the same God that turned water into wine, that parted the sea for the Israelites, that sent His only Son to become man and die so that we may have eternal life in Heaven” says the band. “This song was written as a reminder of God’s faithfulness in our lives, and we hope it can be a reminder for all of those who listen to it”.

This song has garnished a lot of social media attention since the band originally posted a rough version of the chorus a few months ago. There have been over 1.5 million views, thousands of likes, and hundreds of comments asking for a full version. We are so excited for this song to reach even more people and hopefully draw them even closer into a relationship with the ever-living God.

The band will be going out on the road in the fall, playing faith-based concerts and events across the nation.
