Two-time GRAMMY nominated band We The Kingdom announces its self-titled sophomore album, due September 16 via Capitol Christian Music Group. The group revealed the exciting news on live TV earlier today (7.29), performing on Fox & Friends’ All-American Summer Concert Series — watch the interview HERE. Available for pre-order today, the 13-track project, which is a genre-transcending blend of rock, country and gospel, was all written and recorded in group member Ed Cash’s home studio and on tour.

The debut single from the forthcoming album, which is the group’s current radio single, “Miracle Power” (released 5.27) is already a streaming powerhouse landing on the cover of multiple playlists, including Spotify’s Sing A New Song, Amazon Music’s Fresh Christian, and Pandora’s Christian Contemporary. The second sample of the project — a dynamic, rock-infused singalong — “Left It In the Water,” debuted on streaming services and national TV today (7.29). The eclectic collection of tunes draws inspiration from genres — and eras — across the musical spectrum, with nostalgia-driven influences steeped heavily in standouts “Deep End,” which embodies a rock & roll power anthem, and “Mine,” a track reminiscent of a harmonious, Fleetwood Mac-leaning ballad.

The album closes with the simple, yet powerful, “Family,” an autobiographical tune in many ways, as the group details the ups and downs that come with navigating life — and a career — together, as a family unit.

Known for the Billboard Music Award-nominated and chart-topping 2019 album debut ‘Holy Water,’ We The Kingdom, who was named Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year at the 2021 Dove Awards, is comprised of brothers Ed Cash and Scott Cash, Ed’s children Franni Rae Cash Cain and Martin Cash, and close family friend Andrew Bergthold, who all came together as musicians during a life-changing Young Life experience.

A band that has become synonymous with dynamic live performances, We The Kingdom is set to hit the road just days after their sophomore album arrives, embarking on a headline trek, We The Kingdom LIVE with Cory Asbury, which kicks off on September 29. Pastor and musician Jelani Aswad is set to release “Take Off (featuring Daniel Amp and Mike the Chaplain)” to Christian radio today as the single goes for adds to Christian Hot AC/CHR and Christian Rhythmic-formatted radio outlets. The new song, Aswad shares, is a tribute to his 10-year marriage.

“Godly marriages still work,” says Aswad. “My wife and I have been through it all from having a honeymoon baby, to both being in college the first five years of our marriage to moving halfway across the country to pursue a call to ministry. This ode to my wife sums up in the most tasteful of ways how to celebrate love and healthy relationships.”

The message has been inspired by 1 Peter 5:6: “Humble [ourselves,] therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift [us] up in due time.” “We have been lifted up so high in love in Christ that it feels like we could take off to outer space,” Aswad enthuses. “This song is a summer hit for jeep top-down, a summer cruise, or a backyard barbecue. Oh my gosh, we ‘bout to ‘Take OFF’ feels exactly like the title.”

Aswad, a native of the Bronx who grew up in Spring Valley, N.Y., learned singing and performing in church. As he grew up in the city and suburbs, the stories of his neighborhood intrigued him, leading to a deep desire to catalog these experiences through music and poetry. “My music is for all the nations,” Aswad shares. “And the message is that Jesus is the hope of the world and you can find peace in Him.

“The gospel of Jesus Christ transformed my life,” Aswad says, “but I feel the untold stories, the deep groaning and the heartfelt lamentations of the community I was raised in could bring transformation to a world so desperately seeking peace in temporary places.”

Aswad wrote the new single with Daniel Patterson; THAIBEATS produced the song.

Aswad has been managed by McLaughlin Music Group since June 2022.

“’Look Up To The Sky’ was a song to encourage the listeners,” Warlick shares. “We all go through difficult situations or have to face something tough, so I wanted to give the listeners a song that will give them the motivation to keep their head up and push through. With my upcoming Let’s Be Honest EP, it’s me being 100% transparent with the audience about things I’ve faced since coming into the music industry. This project also highlights my faith and is overall just uplifting.”

Signing to the label RECORDS in 2020, a joint venture with Sony Music, Warlick has been releasing music for years, making a name for himself through collaborations within various genres. His debut EP, 2020’s My Way, showcased duets with country artists such as Tyler Hubbard (FGL), Lauren Alaina, Russell Dickerson, and RaeLynn, while he has shared the stage with Kirk Franklin, Morgan Wallen, Jimmie Allen, Nelly, BRELAND, among others.

It’s clear that Warlick’s music and message steer clear of genre labels, instead allowing others to form their own opinions about his style. “I want to make music that still points you to God, but that you don’t have to only play in church,” he says.

It was one life-changing day in 2011 after coming face-to-face with a 45-caliber pistol when he was awakened to his creative purpose. Identifying himself now as a “positive artist” who reflects on his upbringing in a rough neighborhood, Warlick has gained a transformative perspective as a Christ-follower, husband, and father of two in his music.

Warlick has been featured in major outlets such as Forbes and People, and to date, he has 1.7M followers on TikTok.

Makpo is a Gospel singer/songwriter, worship leader and author based in London, UK. After his last release in December 2020, he took a break from music. During that time, he discovered a deep passion in worship amidst life challenges. Now back with this new uplifting single, ‘Take Your Place’ is a soft rock worship song that will speak to the spirits of many. Needless to say, we have truly missed Makpo’s tunes. 

Opening with soft keys, followed by his sonorous vocals layered with celestial backings; this track is a melodious prayer beckoning the Holy Spirit to take His place in our lives. He highlights the believer’s need for guidance and comfort in all areas of life. Are you about to pray, make a critical decision or just carry on with business as usual? ‘Take Your Place’ is a perfect start; a song for every believer.

Speaking on how the song came to be, Makpo explains that it started off only as a prayer chorus written by his friend, Seun many years ago. He recently found the song on replay in his spirit and realized how much of a blessing it had been to him. Wanting to share that feeling with others, with the help of his wife, Odunola, He added a verse and a bridge, and ‘Take Your Place’ was born.

‘We can achieve so much more with the help of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the journey is meant to be done in the Spirit – “Walk in the Spirit”. I pray ‘Take Your Place’ song is a blessing to you as it has been to me’ Makpo explained

Makpo plans to release more songs that capture the heart of worship and some life experiences in hope that someone somewhere on this side of eternity is blessed.

Sound of Many Waters, the resident choir of RCCG The Oasis, shares their debut single titled; “The One Who Is Forever” featuring Nathaniel Bassey.

The song which is accompanied by a very colourful video speaks of the sovereignty and glory of our eternal God; “The one who was, who is and is to come” references Revelation 1:8.

The song recorded live during their maiden edition of the Oasis Worship Night (OWN, a Live recording) themed; Songs of Adoration and Redemption (SOAR) held on the 8th day of August 2022 at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), The Kings Court auditorium.

Gospel singer and Minister, Nathaniel Bassey, who is the presiding pastor of the RCCG youth church, The Oasis, is known for his humbleness, love for God, his love for spirited songs and has never seized to be a blessing to this day’s generation, features on this song.

Everything indeed will change, fail and definitely pass away. Except God’s love, Grace and faithfulness. Some songs are gotten in the place of plenty, this isn’t one of them. As the bills piled up, long time friends and colleagues walked away, and contracts were called off.

Late at night one of those days, the tears, pain and disappointments were too heavy, I tried to pray but my ears heard my voice saying “God, you are good, you are kind”.

Yes, everything will change, except God and His love for us, be strong …GOD IS GOOD.
