On March 26^th fresh on the heels of the concert special, for KING & COUNTRY will be releasing Burn The Ships (Deluxe Edition: Remixes & Collaborations) – a deluxe version of the duo’s GRAMMY winning album of the same name.

In this installment, the body of work draws from the love triangle of Angeloh’s relationship with himself; his relationship with his wife; and his relationship with his God. It is the fruit of his journey towards healing and self discovery; a path that drove Angeloh deeper into the secret place where the Father is.

According to Angeloh, “I can now truly love myself, my spouse, family, and neighbour because I am encountering God’s love: For a person who does not know God’s love cannot truly love. My desire is that this project draws every listener into the secret place, so they can experience the love of the Father first-hand.”

The soundscape is intimate and reminiscent of Angeloh’s minimalist performances as accompanied by Uwawgu David on the acoustic guitar. Angeloh employs lyrical and performing devices that utilize every pocket in the rhythm as he presents both new and familiar ideas to the listener. Some of the songs are laced with background vocals by the amazing Kesiena Philips-Odogu and supported with synth vibes and drums to drive their intended mood and message. Music minister, Laydee Ruth releases a special new single and video titled “Mama.”

She shared the moving story behind the new release:

“Mama is a song I wrote for my mom 3 years ago. A couple of times, I had the urge to go to the studio, to record and release it on her Birthday or on Mother’s Day while dedicating it to all mothers, but I guess the time wasn’t right.

“Fast forward to Sunday morning (November 22nd, 2020) while driving to church, from nowhere, I started singing the song. Upon arrival, I sat for 2 minutes awaiting the church service which was going to start in 5 minutes time, my phone rings and I was like who is calling me at this wrong time, lo and behold it was my younger brother.

“I answered the call and he was crying. He said in my language (NehNeh Wuu, NehNeh Wuu) meaning (mother is dead, mother is dead). Before I could process the news, my phone started ringing again, this time it was my big sister, I answered and she said in pidgin English (Mummy don go) meaning mom has gone. I couldn’t hold myself in church and ran into the hands of my choir director who also was aware of her illness and fell to the ground crying, the loving hands of my church members wrapped me and that scene delayed the commencement of the service.

“Later, I asked my sister what time our mother passed, the time she told me, matched the same time I was singing the song.

“That was when I knew it was time to go record and release the song. She didn’t get to hear it on her birthday or Mother’s Day, but it will keep her memories alive as the world listens to it.

“This song is dedicated to all moms, late or living.”

The new single “Mind(Remix)” tells a unique and personal story of Limoblaze’s struggle with sin in the past and how God finally came into the picture and turned his life around “Oh I was living reckless but then You came in and You rewrote my story”.

American christian HipHop artist Aaron cole also jumps in on this remix to tell his story of his walk with God.

“Mind” is a refreshing reminder of how God loves us as His children and always has us on His mind, hence the title. “The single is about the love of God and God being completely aware of us every time” says Limoblaze.
