Martin Smith’s life and career have always been an open book. From the life-threatening road accident he was involved in his twenties, to super-stardom as the frontman of Delirious? the father of six has always talked candidly about his experiences. His journey has been a remarkable one and his music reflects not only his prowess as a musician and accomplished songwriter but also his unwavering faith and belief that togetherwe can change the World.
After a brief hiatus, Martin released “Dancing in the Fire” – the first single from his brand new studio album, earlier this year. The release garnered support from BBC Radio Two and generated a wealth of media coverage. Hot on its heels was second release “Trouble”, a collaboration between Martin and The Kingdom Choir, known more recently for playing at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. A firm fan favourite, “Trouble”, which was released in September, has already generated over 235,000 streams on Spotify alone.
In anticipation of his album release next year, Martin is set to release his third single, “Fire In Your Eyes” on November 19. Bursting with energy and a soaring anthemic chorus, the single exemplifies Smith’s trademark style and ability to seamlessly blend his musical influences with a contemporary praise and worship sound.
“This song continues the theme of Fire!
This time though we are not ‘in’ the fire but ‘seeing’ the fire in God’s eyes.
It’s always fire that leads us through the dead of night and I’m grateful that through this season of COVID we have all been cared for and carried through extraordinary uncertainty.
Please do me a favour. Find somewhere where you can turn this up REALLY loud and jump, dance, scream and let go of the fear that has gripped us.
This dance will be our story.”
With lockdown restrictions easing over the summer, Martin has been back at the helm doing what he does best – performing live. Recent performances have taken him as far as Romania, and Pennsylvania in the US where he played alongside Amanda Cook and Paul Baloche. Fans old and new have welcomed his new releases, something particularly evident at his live performances, as they patiently await the release of the full record in February 2022.
Multi-talented Nashville-based recording artist Riley Clemmons releases the official acoustic video for “For The Good,” which can be viewed below.
“’For The Good’ was born from a season of walking alongside my family as we navigated hurt and loss as a unit,” shares Riley. “During that time, my family and I found ourselves clinging to and reminding ourselves of the verse Romans 8:28. We were able to watch as God redeemed so much of that pain and brought us closer together in empathy and love. ‘For The Good’ is a reflection of how I’ve experienced God’s promise over the past couple of years.”
Nigerian Singer-songwriter Jlyricz releases his brand new single “Inside” along with its beautiful video. Inside is a Christian Electronic banger with a tinge of Afropop.
Jlyricz has been on a prolific run through 2021; Inside makes it single number 12 for 2021 and it is another beautiful offering. The song which deals with the vulnerability of a Christian as he admits his vices and while seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit so He does not derail from His Christian walk with God. The song is written by Jlyricz and produced by long-term collaborator E-Mex.
“I wrote Inside at a point in my life when I was so eager to “blow”, I was homeless and I needed funds to get me an apartment and a decent life. Music was all I had and I figured it had to come from there; I just had to blow even though I had no concrete budget to push my songs. I couldn’t even afford to rent a small apartment. After a while I started questioning my motive for saving God; is it because of what He would give or because I truly loved and revered Him as my personal savior. If I get what I need, will I still serve Him with everything I had? Those thoughts birthed the song “Inside”.
The single’s video is a dashing creative masterpiece with an intricate story of the song woven in it. The video is directed by Bishopwhythe Visuals.
Following the release of the highly corrosive song “Praise Quake” here is a reminder of the victory we enjoy in Christ. I Win points you to who you are in Christ as a winner and victor. We are not like them who do not believe in the name of Jesus. For him we have victory. (1 Cor 15:17).
For everyone who can call on His name will experience victory. Winning in Christ is our heritage. Are you ready to experience a shift? Make that bold declaration “I Win”
“Remember Me” is a deep, passionate, honest and personal prayer I said to God many years ago when I could not marry my situation (what I was seeing in my life) and revelation (what God has shown me I would become in life).
“It was a frustrating, confusing, dark, and sad moment. In tears, I knelt to pray saying the words of this song – “Remember Me” – to God. My life has not been the same after saying this honest prayer. The ‘#LastMinuteGod, #MyOnlyHelper – remembered me and came through for me in a mighty way!
